U.S.S. Reaent, NCC-3345-B


Following the Federation's massive buildup to continue deep space exploration and the Federation-Klingon negotiations at Korvat colony being considered a failure, smaller starship designs were discontinued with the focus turned on larger vessels more capable of defending themselves.

The Excelsior Class Explorer U.S.S. Reaent, NCC-3345-B was launched from Utopia Planetia Fleet Yards on February 20, 2290. The ship was placed under the command of Captain Jack Quinn and Commander David Oergan. The ship was the fourteenth launched under the revised class design not featuring transwarp technology.

The Reaent was involved in a Starfleet task force assigned to monitor developments near the Romulan Neutral Zone following that governments formal termination of the Romulan-Klingon Alliance. The ship would fall victim to a Klingon minefield in the Ferio Nebula and be destroyed on July 16, 2297. Out of a crew of six hundred and fifty, less than one hundred survivors were rescued.

The above is provided for historical reference only. The NCC-3345-B was not an active game, but has been referenced. The simulation switched timeframes in 1996 which resulted in this gap.
