Favorite ST CO

Every time this fun little topic pops up I say the same thing. Although it wasn't my favorite series my vote goes to Janeway.

 

1. She is a women in a mans world and as I female I like to see women in power who have more influence then using their femanine charms.

2. One word - heels. I challange any man to kick a little butt wearing 2 inch heels. Dancing is hard enough but fiighting, I have done that and it is no easy task.

3. She had to deal with circumstance that no other captain had to. Mainly being in a place where she had to rely on herself and her crew as oppose to calling for back up from starfleet.

My vote goes to Kirk, he's the man. Kicks arse, takes names, zero in on all the green woman. Boo yah. ;)

 

My second is Janeway (chimes in with humming "I am Women" along with Doctor mtporter). Archer is third, with Picard and Sisko tied at fourth. With that said, all the Captains rock, and my listing is just personal preference.

 

And, Janeway as my second, I trace back to the episode "Fair Trade". I know it's not even considered one of the "good" episodes, but I like it for showing Janeway acting as a CO, and also as looking after her crew.

 

Neelix enters back into his past life as a smuggler, due to the arrival and coersion by a so called friend. He does some downright illegal stuff in the process. Then, at episodes end, he's all prepared to leave VOY. Janeway turns around and says in so many words "Oh, hell no. You don't get off that easy. You're part of a family, we answer for what we've done, and don't walk away from each other". Just liked seeing that side of her as a CO - stern, yet fair.
