"And the Team Kept Shrinking..."

"And The Team Kept Shrinking..."

Lieutenant j.g. T'Parek

Duty Log

December 22, 2155

T'Parek was intrigued by this planet from the moment that Challenger lost contact with the away team. Sudden seismic activity, a mysterious, complex structure, and a strange voice speaking in a foreign tongue overheard via the communications signal ... the Vulcan couldn't ask for more.

Thus, when an away team was announced, T'Parek was one of the first to volunteer. A promising mission, to be certain. She would be heading down with a good, trustworthy assembly of officers that she had worked with on more than one occasion, and she was confident that they would be able to locate and successfully return Commander Cole and Lieutenant Giovanni to the ship.

However, on the way to the transporter room, the team continued to dwindle as the ship shook. Someone or something was a risk to the ship, and in such a situation, a tactical officer's place was on the Bridge, obviously enough. There went Aaron.

Sirens went off, and Engineering needed its acting chief. Off went Montague...

T'Parek stepped out of the lift with the remaining member of the team. She'd never worked with Xiang before that day, but now she'd have a chance to see him in a tense situation off of the ship.

Challenger shook again. She wondered what could be going on, but they didn't have time to find out.

"Energize," she instructed the on-shift transporter technician.

As she waited for the transporter beam to engage, she wondered again what exactly was happening out there, and if she'd even get to the planet in one piece...
