Who is your closest neighbor?

94 posts in this topic
I'm in the middle of Connecticut, easy driving distance to some STSFers in MA and fairly close to some STSFers in NYC. (There's a lot of us on the East coast).

Without revealing anything that isn't already common knowledge, I've had to pry Blurox out of my wine cellar more than once.

Central Connecticut, huh? I have family in Connecticut, and we travel up there to visit about twice a year.

Angie5 and I live in a small town south of Seattle Washington called Centralia. Van Roy and Precip are the closest STSF'ers to us it looks like.

Zaphod,

I'm in the Boston area, in MA, which puts me close to Huff and Blu (Other than this one, there's already a post somewhere else on the boards that places everyone near here, so, I don't think I'm revealing anything :-) ).

Commonwealth of Kentucky. (For those who didn't know, Kentucky isn't considered a state, it is a commonwealth. HA!) Anywho, I only know of one other STSFer who lives in the area, though there have been several through the years from around Louisville. I'm only about an hour away from there.

But... I'll be relocating next year when I go off to college. No definite decisions yet, and I believe I'll stay in-state, but who knows.

I live in the heart of Orlando. I use to actually live next to Universal Studios (My sister still lives there actually), but now I live over by the University of Central Florida (Go Knights! Not really... but whatever), so I'm only about 20 minutes West of where I use to live. It's still Orlando, but not the Orlandio most people know.

I'm actually 40 mins away from Cape Canaveral now.Which is just always cool.

Well, at least it's not Centralia, PA, a small, practically nonexistent (anymore) town that has a mine fire burning away beneath it.

Pennsylvania is a commonwealth, too. The other two are Virginia and Massachusetts.

I live in Thunder Bay, on the northern edge of Lake Superior. So as Seiben said, we're probably close neighbours, along with the other guy. I think there are a few simmers from Minnesota who may also be close-ish to me depending upon where they live in Minnesota.

I in the same municipality as Ronnie Lunn, but Lo'Ami, and crew in Boston aren't that far from Nova Scotia, so right now he's my closet American Neighbour.

I'm from Chicago. The closest person that I've met is 1 1/2 hours away (name omitted to protect the innocent), but I know there are others in the area. In the old days, about 1/3 of the Arcadia crew either lived out here, or had a reason to cruise through town often. Other than Shore Leave, I don't see as many people face to face as I used to.

1 1/2 hours away? My suburb isnt THAT far off Moosel, and Kestra is around here too I believe

Hey mate,

Well, I now consider myself a bit of a Kiwi after living in Auckland for the last half a year. Just returned (within the last week) from being two blocks from Queen Street.

Go All Blacks, eh?

At present however, back in Florida...though for how long remains up in the air. Might head back to the land of sheep...who knows.

Yeah, I split my time between downtown during the week and one of the suburbs on the weekends.

Here's an easy way to see where everyone is:

http://www.frappr.com/stsfers

Alls you have to do is put in your name and zipcode, and Frappr there will put a marker where you live

Don't do it if you don't want to, it's only for fun!

And NO ONE put in an address or marker for anyone but themselves, even if they have stated it in this string. The link is a neat idea, but can be used a bit too easily, so only put in your own information and only if you want to.

Wow, Tach, I even know where that is! Grew up in MI (though some might debate the use of past tense), lived in AZ for 10 years, now in SE WI, outside Milwaukee. I guess, given the previous posts, that Moose is my closest neighbor.
