HALO 2

30 posts in this topic

I'll probably be getting a 360 the moment people aren't robbed at gun point for them. Mainly because of a friend that demands I get back on live to play her, since my Xbox broke in mid October.

I also plan to get a PS3, if only for MGS4. (Kojima whore)

Nintendo could give me a free Revolution and I wouldn't care. The Gamecube made me lose faith in them. Well, not the gamecube, but the choices the company made during this generations life time. The We know what you want/we MUST be inovative at all costs.

Anyway...I'm gonna go play GTA now and shoot some people. With an AK.

Cause violent videogames warp me B)

It's a "Kansas Game Review"! I know, you're all thrilled. :P

Okay, I rec'd HALO 2 for Christmas (Thanks Santa). I have about 4 hours of Multiplayer and 3 hours of Singleplayer chalked up at this point. This is my first foray into the Halo universe and it's god-like status within the gaming world.

The Singleplayer is good. Science fiction happiness all around, with invading aliens and Earth Marines fighting against them. It reminds me a bit of the film Starship Troopers, one of my favorite films. The cinematics are really nice, and bring in that sci fi film feel.

The Multiplayer is busy. Everytime I log on, there are people to game with. The controls are tight and smooth, and I just have a fun time. So far, I've been doing the Deathmatch type of games. I hope to eventually check out CTF, and the team oriented type of play, but that needs to wait until I get passed "Halo - clueless".

Halo is a solid, fun, science fiction game, period. And the Multiplayer is obviously the backbone of the Halo franchise as well as the game itself.

Now with that said - I don't get it. I know that the Halo games are very popular, and ALL successive first person shooter games that are produced seem to be compared to Halo, but I can not see why. I'm not saying the game is horrible, I am having a good time playing. But after experiencing the game first hand, I just do not understand the hype.

Thanks for your time! Any X Box Live Halo 2 players - just look for me running around trying to avoid the gunfire. B)
