   "Then, Doctor Herel, our meeting is over."  t’Ring stands.  "If you do not have prior plans, perhaps you would care to have dinner with my family tonight?  They would be interested to hear of your accomplishments since you have left.  I was," t’Ring looks straight forward, past Herel, "pleased to find your name among the survivors of the explosion.  Your expertise would have been a loss to the medical field."

   By now Herel is grinning.  "I’ve missed you too, Doc, and I’d love to come."

   "Perhaps you would care at that time to tell us about the male you briefly mentioned in your last communication.  Half Vulcan, you said.  Perhaps you would be more specific."

   "I bet you’d like that."  

   "I am merely interested to know his lineage on Vulcan."

   "Yeah, I bet you are."
