How long do you spend on STSF a week?

38 posts in this topic

Let's see...

5 hours at simulations and pre/post simulation discussion;

3 hours at academies, perfecting my technique;

3-4 hours reading old logs and studying biographies, as well as posting in 10-F;

Anywhere from 3-12 hours writing logs.

Life? RL? What's that?

6 hours weekly for my sims

1 hour for hosting my academy

30-60 minutes on average writing my logs (per log)

And about 21 hours weekly scanning the forum, making posts, etc.

so about 31-34 hours per week? ::jaw drop:: Seiben, we love ya, we really do, but there's a big wide world out there...

Mine's... ::ponders, counts on fingers:: About 6-8 hours a week, for sims, logs, board surfing, and maintaining Agincourt's website.

I'd say about 5-6 hours a week, perhaps a little more.

Now, about 4 hours weekly - from surfing the boards, simming, log writing. I had to cut down post-August due to starting a new job.

I will admit that the time I do spend regarding simming is very enjoyable. :D

About this long.

Murray -- At what speed? (Stupid relativity joke)

My answer: ~3-5 hours, including academies, log-writing, and advanced simming.

Hey there,

Due to administrative things, plus running two sims, plus board stuff...plus other items...I'll have to respond with: no comment

::just waiting for Atragon's public service message::

Huh? whaaat??

Sorry, I've been too busy hiking mountain trails, kayaking through rapids, reading the collected works of Tolstoy, and hang gliding in the Rockies, to spend any time on this site, oh puuuhhhhleeez!

{cough}

-A9

PS - Translation: walking through my yard to reach my car, driving across pothole-filled streets in the rain, reading the Sunday comics and dreaming about exercise, in the 35 minutes a day when I'm not up on the site.

You probably could've dreamed about a more cheery author than Tolstoy. :D

lol! Oh, I'd say about four, maybe five hours a week now. Two hours for sims, the rest for logs, reading boards, administrative thingies, and the rare updating of promotion spreadsheets. Oh, and twice a year I update ship webpages, whether they need it or not. :D

Not enough time lately because of relocation from the dreaded hurricane Katrina. Once I get settled into an apartment and get a new computer (after that, I don't want to see another motel room for a long freaking time :D ), I'll settle back into sim's. But, before Katrina I'd spend an hour or two a day checking the board, logs, and simming.

Atragon ever consider standup.

Let me think i'm still a cadet so.....4 hours on tuesday. 3 hours rest of week that makes it......22 hours a week on a regular week.

Let me see...

3 hours at sims (advanced plus red star)

not enough hours at academies

7-10 hours checking out the boards

about 7 or 8 hours for each log

sometimes entire days for research on plot related topics (broken wrists, metabolism of bacteria etc.)

18-22 hours a week plus the research, which is not a regular activity

1 hour simming a week (hey i'm only a cadet on monday)

time on boards (divideds how many simms he is on by the amount of time on computer minus the 2 hours a day he spends in the diversity fleet chat room) an 1 hour a day at the most.

Sims: About 3 sims a week counting academies. I'm on 3 advanced sims (if you count Red Star as advanced) but other time obligations usually pull me from at least one of them, a different one each week.

Log writing: About an hour and a half every other week. I should be better about this.

Message board: About 2-3 hours a week, give or take.

I'd have to say not as much as I used too. I need longer days.

With 2 ships, an academy and boards and stuff about 6 hours per week.

On the other hand, I seem to be living my own TNG episode of "The Game" with WoW. I've become a bit of a recluse, don't leave the computer, and rarely sleep so I don't miss the game. I do go to work..have to get paid so I can play, and I make all my kid's games..that's a priority.

In it's first year since release (it tracks the total amount of time actually played),

I have in 127 days, 10 hours, 53 minutes and 17 seconds, or a little over

3048 hours of game time in. Yea, I know..I just spent a 1/3 of a year on a game...but hey.....I intend to be High Warlord and rule the server yet.

Anyway, I have 47 minutes left for lunch hour, so need to go sleep while I can. See you all tonight at the Talon.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one out there.
