As Muon assisted with readying the shuttle, her mind was troubled. Troubled about Ethan. Troubled about leaving Ronin in charge of Security. Troubled about their mission to Huret to find Ambassador Raumuk. Troubled about the temporary XO that had just arrived. Muon was just a troubled soul all around. Dr McKinny had noticed but was kind enough to give Muon her space.

 

Once the shuttle was ready, Muon let the Captain know they were ready to launch. Muon noticed two things as she entered the shuttle behind the Captain and proceeded to close the door. She noticed Ronin exiting the shuttlebay. It gave her a sense of pride knowing he would be ok. Waving to him one last time, she also noticed the temporary XO as she exited the shuttlebay. Muon kept saying "temporary" to herself like a mantra. Shaking her head to clear it, Muon jumped into her seat and commenced the start up sequence. After a preflight check, she requested permission to launch and then set course for Huret.

 

They were now on their way. Aegis was in somebody elses hands for awhile....
