T'Linna sighed as she read over the letter she'd received from her parents. As she had suspected, they were displeased with her "choices". They behave as though I cannot make my own decisions, she thought ruefully. Well, perhaps it wasn't the wisest choice or the most logical one, but it IS my choice and I will live with the consequences. She glanced over the letter once again and debated the merits of writing similar letters for her brother and sister. T'Pek might understand as we are twins. T'Linna reached to press the send button on her computer terminal, but she hesitates at the last possible second. But Sirek will be as cold as mother and father were. She glanced over the letter she has composed to send to each sibling, searching for any reason not to send the documents. Nothing catches her attention, so she reluctantly hits the control to send both letters. It may be weeks before I get a response. Perhaps it is better that way. It allows me more time to "prepare".

 

T'Linna rose from her seat at her desk and moved over to her meditation bench. She settled into the basic meditation pose and closed her eyes.
