Battlestar Galactica has a New Escort

It took a year and a half for a clever eye to find this little inside Gag ZOIC studios did on Battlestar Galactica. It would seem the colonials are no longer so vulnerable anymore. I apologize for the image size..but they really tried to sneak this one in.

PS: Of course it could be the Hood!

Then again maybe they are saying the Constitution class BELONGS in the rag-tag fleet. :P

That wasn't a costume, it was a body cast after his last fight.

Hey there,

What episode did that come from? Second Season possibly?

Now that is cool! Nice little nod to the Trek series.

Very very cool. Did Star Trek ever do the reverse for Battlestar?

I doubt it. In many parts of the country the new BSG and Enterprise ran in the same time slot.

Here is how things stack up so far:

The new Battlestar Galactica has had "easter eggs" from Star Trek and Firefly/Serenity.

Star Trek had an easter egg from Star Wars. The Millenium Falcon can be seen in the First Contact Borg Battle. (At least that is what I am told, I'm still looking.)

Star Wars had an easter egg from ET. Some of the Senators are from ET's race.

So far, ET and Firefly/Serenity have not returned the favor.

It's not the best screen capture. Alright, it doesn't even look like the Falcon. But it will give you an idea of where to look.

Okay, it's a little blurry...but I can tell it's the Falcon. :P

I'd agree. Personally, if I saw that, I'd think it was the Delta Flyer before I'd think it was the Falcon.

Fred, I did some back checking and apparently the shot of the Rag Tag Fleet with the Enterprise floating around was lifted from the End of the MiniSeries.

Here's a cute one. In "Close Encounters", Speilberg gave George Lucas a nod by hanging R2D2 from the bottom of the mother ship in the end of the movie.

Spielberg also had the FX guys have the lights on the mothership trace out a shark, at one point (no, I don't have a picture of it), to reference his "Jaws" movie.

Oh and Lucas gave Harrison Ford's car in "America Grafitti" a license plate of THX-138 as a nod to his own student/first film, "THX-1138" (it's also why the ramped-up movie sound system is called "THX")

Lucas puts THX-1138 into all his movies.
