Biographical Overview: Adina was born on Earth and spent most of her life on her homeplanet. From a young age, she was always interested in the field of science and made it her goal to become a scientist. Her parents discouraged her, knowing that she would eventually make her way into the military and leave Earth entirely. She ignored their protests and continued to focus on the scientific studies that were her ticket to what she hoped would be a better life. Eventually her hard work paid off and she was admitted to Starfleet Academy where she majored in the scientific fields. She worked hard, taking little time for herself and studying rather than going out for extracurriculars. She was seen as a standoffish loner who cared only about herself, and she had few friends. None of this bothered her as she was used to such treatment from her parents and she didn't care what others thought. Upon her graduation, Adina was assigned to work at the Starfleet labs in San Francisco because Starfleet Command assumed her to be too confident to be placed aboard a starship. Adina took this as an insult to her abilities and made her point of view obvious, resulting in several demerits that delayed her promotion to first lieutenant. She worked in the labs for several years, always watching and listening for openings aboard ships. Shortly after her promotion to captain, which she nearly didn't attain because of her "attitude", Adina heard that the N.F.S. Reaent needed a science specialist. She requested a transfer, and after several months of heckling and bargaining, she was granted the position of Senior Science Specialist. The Reaent is her first posting off planet.
