Something Wicked This Way Comes ...

It's that time again ... Halloween! This whole time of the year is one of my favorites and I was just wondering if anyone has plans and such.

We're having a small party here where I am creatively going to be a witch, and just going to have some normal crazy Halloween fun. For those of you not dressing up, what are some interesting costumes you've used in the past? Anything funny or crazy that you've seen?

And who has been brave enough to ever have a Trek costume? Share stories!

all of my costumes have been pretty traditional. Though one Halloween I dressed up as Igor. But, I do not celebrate Halloween anymore.

We don't really celebrate Halloween over here. But like anything "american" germans are starting to "assimilate" the tradition. I'm not among those and I think that even if we had real Halloween here I wouldn't dress up. Or maybe I'd just be a dwarf; all it'd take is a fake beard :).

well here a group of volunteers get together and put up a haunted house for the

community as a safe alternative for the children to go trick or treating.

for the past couple of years i have played the part of a demon king..replete with

the full makeup.(it takes approx.2hrs to get made up )..whew and that costume is

hot.....but it is for the kiddies...and they seem to enjoy it...when they exit they are

of course rewarded for their tour..with goodies donated by local merchants.

this is our idea of a safe and practical halloween...of course afterwards...we adults

have our own party... B) :)

Well, it's not exactly "dressing up", but one time I went as a flasher.

Our church puts on an alternative to halloween and trick or treating (we call it a Hallelujah Party or Harvest Festival usually). I help out, and thereby get to dress up... so far I've been a cowgirl, an army chick, a clown, someone dressed in sheets, and this year... I'm going to be a kitty. Meow.

And yes, my favorite was the army chick.

Oh gosh, I love halloween. It is the only time of the year where I get to dress up and no one cares. I usually make costumes for myself. I was a pirate one year, Lucy (from the peanuts) and my sister was snoopy...um last year I was a lush (ugly house coat and lots of drinks) and this year I have to choices. I made an awesome yet somehow ugly pink 50's prom queen dress or Velma from scooby doo. I haven't decided yet. But I have convinced my bos to be captain Kirk, I even made him a costume, so that should be fun. Nothing like parties and candy to give me a mad sugar rush that will last for days. ::smiles to herself thinking of candy corn::
