Qeng

New here...

Hello people! My name is Qeng(pronouced Kang), I like the idea of using chatrooms as a Star Trek RPG. Since I just happen to be Klingon, when I graduate from the STSF academy, and I am assigned the rank ensign, and I kill the captain I serve under, do I become captain? I mean, that is what Klingons do, but seriously, is that method of 'promotion' valid? BTW, how do I get my own ship?

Hate to burst your bubble, but no.. you won't become the Captain by killing your own Captain, even in our Klingon sim. You'll just have to get there the old fashiobed way. B) As for your own ship, you'd just have to start one up in another forum. :) We don't give out ships in here. :P

Anyways...

Hey! Welcome to STSF!

Ahh, do be sure to read the Tips from the Moose, the help section and Schedule section to help familiarise yourself on how we play, and htips to graduate and when the acads take place. Goodluck in your STSF career, and hope to see you around. :D

Hello. I am the STSF Resident Egomaniac, and I would like to welcome you to the Star Trek Simulation Forum at stsf.net (as opposed to stsf.com; try simming there B) !) Just remember that the secret to simming is to have fun and the secret word is "Coriolis".

Hello and Welcome to STSF. This is a good crew here.

Only thing you need to watch out for is the T'Venus SFly'Trap - it was brought here by the Rihannsu and placed in the Lobby - it snaps. Check out the Moose Tips, Help, and Rules sections. Once you do venture into an academy, the GM's and fellow players are great helpers. And you have fun at the same time, so it's all good.

And don't believe all these crazy rumors about cadets getting killed by the GM's in the acad...**AHHHHHHHH** **MRRPHHHHH** !!!

<ACTION> Kansas is attacked by the T'Venus SFy'Trap

Cya in the Academies.

- Kansas >^..^<

Welcome Cadet Qeng!

An Ensign who kills his Captain would surely be put to a very slow and painful death, heck even a Commander only has a 50/50 chance. In any case, there are quite a few Klingons who hang out at the Red Star Nightclub, so maybe we'll see you on Saturday.

Reading an Academy Chat Log or two will help you to learn how to sim with us.

IF you survive the Academy, Aegis could always use another AENG. Kaplah!

Q'plah, Qeng! Welcome to STSF!

Vatric's ideas are quite valid. As for your own ship, that may take several millennia of struggle, death, decay, etc, etc, on other ships - just so you can get the hang of it.
