Tri-Tucson

First race of the 2003/2004 season was this morning.  Arrived a 0530, shivered through the body marking line, and started my swim wave at 0700.  Finished with a total time of 1:47:14.  It won't break any records, but a finish is a finish. ::big smile::    Oh, the distance, if anyone cares: 825meter swim/12mile bike/3 mile run.

Just wanted to celebrate and let everyone know that it's not all about shoes ::D:

Dear Goddess Dac

I John Smith, the host of the tri tucson are quite unamused by your strategy of flashing the other competitors via the use of a coconut bra and then using a phaser on them while their guard was dropped, nudity and murder are not part of our proud tradition and i would like a private meeting to discus this, how about 8:30 at my place? bring champagne...

JUST KIDDING DAC! CONGRATS ON YOUR ACHIEVEMENT! IF MY BUM WASN'T PERMANENTLY STUCK TO MY CHAIR I'D HUG YOU!

No broken ankles, however I did do a race last year with a broken toe.  (broke it running from the beach water exit, entering the bike transition area -- ow)

Some even saw the pictures.

WTG!!!

Verry, verry cool.  My exercise regimen consists of Jumping to Conclusions, Pulling a Fast One and Running around in Circles and, someday, Pushing up the Daisies.  Yours is actually beneficial!!  Congratulations!

That's really not that hard to do.  I mean 2nd place calls herself "Huff", implying she gets winded easily.

Anyone who will actually show up for a triathalon has my respect, but they should have events that deal with real life situations - like when your plane lands late at one end of the Houston airport and they've already started boarding for your connecting flight at the other end of the airport.  I had about 20 minutes to run a good mile and a half, in business clothes, carrying a laptop.  Not bad for a smoker.
