Survivor Man?

"Survivor Man?"

Log entry 03: SD 10510.14

Pierre ran like he never did before. Amidst the klaxons and flashing red lights of the dying Raeant, Pierre finds his goal. The great ship lumbers and lurches from another explosion.

It sounded nearby, so Pierre starts to double time it. Crap! Why'd I have to get myself seperated from Dr. Matthews? Thought Pierre. She and some ordierlies were just in front of him one second and gone the next. He had no idea where she went off to.

But there's no time to think of that now. In the darkened corridors of the Raeant, Pierre knows that the old ship doesn't have long to live and he needed to get his butt of this ship tout de suite.

Making a mad dash to the escape pod, Pierre opens the hatch and clambers in. He waits and lets the other five people running to the pod in too. Pierre recognised none of them. He's been onboard the Raeant too short to get to meet any of these people.

Pierre moved himself over to the cockpit controls and started the pod up. "Is everyone in? Fasten your seat belts, cuz here we go!" he told his passengers. With a press of a button, the pod lurched to life and shot out of the pod bay like a canon sending the pod a safe distance away from the Raeant.

It was here when Pierre surmised the damage that was inflicted to the ship from the fleet of enemy Holoships. It was very extensive, and quite possibly beyond repair. He gasped in surprise when Deck 4 blew out in sucession like a domino effect.

Throughout the ages of sapce travel, harking to the days of Pirate ships on Earth in the mid 18th Century, the sight of seeing one's ship go down in flames was the worst sight a sailor could see. Though Pierre had only been on the Raeant a few short months, he felt as if a part of him was going down with it.

"Sir, there's a nearby planet 50 000 kilometres away from our location. Class-M and safe to land there." said the crewman looking at the sensors. "Very good" replied Pierre. "So that's where we're going to head. I'd say most of the pods will land there too, so we;ll follow them so we can land together"

Pierre counted about five pods in front of him with more coming to his rear. Bracing himself and the pod through the planet's atmosphere, Pierre quickly and efficiently touched the pod down close to the others.

"End of the line" Pierre said as he opened the pod hatch. Tha air was fresh and a forrestrial. Pierre got out of the pod and took out his tricorder, also making sure his phaser was there on his waist fully charged. One had to be careful on explored planets.

"Alright. Stay close and let's see if we can find anyone else here" he told his party. Pierre looked around the strange and unfamiliar planet, hoping he'll find someone he knows, wondering where they are what's out here hoping that he'd come out of this alive.
