2/13  Somebody's gotta do it

Subject: 2/13  Somebody's gotta do it

Date: Fri, Feb 28, 1997 5:33 PM

From: LCdrBlurox

::Hoban and Wilkinson both stood off to the side of the shuttlebay, wondering just what had happened. The chief had been so explicit in her instructions, and here she was, letting the occupants out of the shuttle before testing, lowering weapons, dropping the forcefield. Exactly the opposite of what she had told them.  What really bothered Hoban, was Blu's disregarding the com from the CMO, asking about the medical situation.  Perhaps Blu figured Dr. Tal was enough. But she genuinely seemed unworried

about the condition of those in the crashed runabout. It wasn't like her. Perhaps she had returned to duty too soon after her 'ordeal'. Who knows?::

::Hoban saw that the shuttlebay maintenace crew just about had the door of the Malibu opened, and started moving that way.::  "Come on Wilk, someone's got to check this out, and I haven't a clue as to what she's doing anyway."

"I'm with you Hob," replied Wilkinson.  ::The two made their way over to the runabout, arriving just as the door release was opened.  They leapt up into the ship, and looked around.

"What a mess.  Hey Hob...over here..I've got one. He's out cold."

"Me too.  She's alive, but pretty banged up. Oh geez, it's one of the doctors!!  Best call sickbay. +tap+ Sickbay, do you read? This is Lt. Hoban down in shuttlebay 3. We have a medical emergency down here. I repeat, we have a medical emergency down here. Two injured crewmen from the runabout crash. One of the injured is one of your staff.  There is a doctor present in the shuttlebay, but he is busy performing blood tests. Should we move them on stretchers, or just have them beamed to your position?

Security forcefields have been dropped in the shuttlebay. Please respond."
