Medical Training Part 2,

Begin Log......

 

The Ventilation Pathways smelled horrible. It wasn't long until we were starting to wonder if taking on the mission was such a good idea. Oh well I shrugged it off and we continued to crawl down the shaft. After a few minuets of crawling we approached a metal grating integrated into the ceiling of the complex. Lt.Cmdr. Rays flipped out his tricorder and scanned the area for a sec then looked back to the team. "Alright, We drop from this shaft and proceed down the corridor 30 meters then take a door on the right. My tricorder can't penetrate any further. They must have a dampening field in place." We all nodded and Rays pointed at the grating with his phaser and disintegrated a hole for us to drop through.

We heard foot steps.

A guard was approaching our position under us in the hall way. Natalie Richman got to the front of the group and dug the toes of her foot into the grate ting wile sitting in her knees in front if the hole.

The guard walking right passed the hole above him without noticing us but he got no further. Natalie top half dropped head first right behind the guard/ Her bottom half holding keeping her from falling all the way out of the shaft. She hung their upside down not for a second before she had her combat knife out and the guard was dead with the flick of her wrist.She let her bottom half drop and she did a half flip landing by the corps of the guard on her feet silently.

All this happened in about 2 seconds.

Even though I new these were computer simulated people I count help but be impressed if not a little horrified. The rest of us proceeded to drop out of the hole landing next to the unfortione guard and Natalie. We followed the corridor unopposed until we reached the door. This time it was Takaris Readman's turn to have some fun. He flipped open a engineering kit and got to work on the access panel. After a few seconds it flew open and four Andorian Techies and a Klingon guard looked at us with open jaws.

A few quick phaser blasts and the techies were incapacitated. The Klingon hit a switch on the wall and a humming sound flooded the room. I looked down and my phaser was dead. I silently swore. The damn Klingon must have engaged another dampening field that disabled energy weapons.

The Klingon took a leap forward revealing a Mek'leth that was hidden beneath his cloak. Before we could move he had already taken a swing at Rays. Rays dogged just in time and rolled out of the way. The Klingon had moved on from Ray and now was swinging at Readman. He ducked but not in time. The Klingon's sword dug deep into his shoulder and he was down. I pulled out my combat knife and charged..........

but Richman beat me two it. She swung at his midsection and sliced nothing but air. The Klingon stepped out of the way and elbowed her on the back of her neck. Her eyes rolled back and she clasped on the marble floor. Now it was just me the Cmdr. and a big nasty pissed off Klingon.

but not for long. While the Klingon was distracted with Natalie the Cmdr. had taken out his knife and through it at the Klingon. He clasped in a heap.

The Cmdr. Turned to me.

"I'm going on a head. See what you could do here then run like hell when you get the signal."

I nodded.
