"Medical Training" Part 1

Chell Reno Personal Log. "Medical Training" part 1

Begin Log...

I stepped up to the holodecks double door wearing night cameo body armor and a butt load of medical equipment and weapons. I walked through the doors and onto the black and yellow striped grid of the Morningstar's holodeck.

"computer, run program "medical traing course for Lt. Chell Reno."

The grid faded and it was replaced by a pitch black forest with a large building in the center of a clearing just over a mile to the east. To my left their appeared three other people each dressed more or less like myself. The biggest of the three stepped forward. He glowed a eirry green through my night vision goggles. "Lieutenant welcome to the team. I am Lt. Cmdr. Nalim Rays the mission CO." He points to a woman with a sniper rifle straped to her back. " This is Lieutenant.Natalie Richman. Our cover provider."

The woman stepped forward.

"A pleasure Lt."

I nodded.

"and finaly the demo man on our humble expedition. Ensign Takaris Readman."

The ensign stepped forward with the rest of the group as he tossed a grenade in the air and caught it.

I tried not to flinch.

He looked me over for a second and at the Cmdr.

"lets get going boss. I'm itching to blow something up."

I looked to the ensign

"Glad meet you to ensign."

He gave me look that gave a look that left the impression that if I spoke again I would be in the middle of a newly created grand canyon.

Once again I tried not to flinch.

The Cmdr. turned to the group. "Lets get to it people"

Our general orders for this mission were to blow the complex and get out. I was the field med to make sure everyone got back in one piece. When I first accepted this training program I thought it would be a walk in the park....

I was wrong.

We jogged for about 3 minuets covering about half the distance to the complex. The Cmdr. signaled us over the comm. " Alright from now on in we use hand signals."

One by one we all fliped on our acknowledgment light that appeared in every ones HUD that was part of the helmets visor. The HUD could tells us anything we needed to know about an enemy we were facing our anything about our team mates.

After we all checked in the commander gave the order to move in.

We all powered up our phasers and crept toward the complex. about halfway their the Surrounding flood lights activated and started scanning the area. We avoided the beams and continued our way into the complex. We spotted a small vent just large enough for one person to crawl through on the exterior of the building. we dodged spotlight as we made our approached with our phasers at the ready. We climbed into the ventilation shaft single file/ Cmdr. Rays in the lead followed by Ensign Readman then Lt. Richman then me. We crawled through the tube for about a minute and then it lead into the main ventilation pathways.

We were finally inside.

To be continued......
