Not exactly home, but a relief...

a log by Lt. Javin Prell, Chief Engineer

It wasn't exactly home, but being back at Earth was a breather for Javin. The whole Pacentrina incident had rattled him, and ticked him off as nothing had in years. The unfairness of it all... He shook his head. It was over. There was no need to recollect it again. He had made his report, and noted it in his log. He had gone in for the mandatory medical "checkup" and found that they had brought nothing back from the strange station and it's inhabitants.

The Agincourt was now only an hour or so away from Earth, and from what Javin had gotten from the bridge, their new mission was to be, well, less exciting than the last. It was the 2nd anniversary of the 2395 Treaty of Versailles, and the Agincourt was coming home to sit nice, look pretty, but tough, and attend a "function" on the planet. Javin had heard rumors the ball celebrating the anniversary had been planned to look like one out of the textbooks on the 18th century earth, a time period which Javin had taken a fancy to when he was studying back on Trill, trying to get the best grades to show the Trill Symbiosis Commission.

He looked over the PADD that he had been given a few minutes earlier by a crewman, containing a list of personnel that would come on board at Earth. He was surprised, but he grinned from ear to ear upon seeing Gerhard Murray on the list. The ensign had been assigned to stay behind on Pax Primus after the communications relay there had been semi-destroyed after the Romulan/Reman terrorist group attacked it. It looked like he was back, and Javin couldn't wait to swap stories with him. So what if it wasn't Trill? Earth was just a good a place as any to have some fun and get some R&R.
