OK, several of you know that the current Qob plot takes place in a galaxy far, far away. Not the Star Wars galaxy, but the galaxy right next door to that one. There are also a lot of similarities between that galaxy and the Star Wars galaxy. It has Hyperspace, clone troopers in white uniforms, and lightsabers. You may also have seen me wield my new toy in a couple Qob sims.

 

It turns out that a lightsaber can also be a valuable everyday tool. Observe:

 

Bagel slicer/toaster

 

Hedge trimmer

 

A tool for engineers

 

Perfect for those late night sims

Oh man, that would be sweet. You'd never have to re-fill your zippo or buy yet another of the cheap plastic lighters from 7-11. But although for cigarette smoking it would be supreme, I'm not sure I'd trust it for the other type of smoking, waaaaaaaaaaay too many chances of accidents! :D

Oh but since sabers don't exist, my hobbies are perfectly safe. I have enough trouble using a lighter, nevermind a high-powered crystal-enhanced beam device. :D

Could we ever make a real light saber? high power LAser devices today took up alot of room, kinda like computers used too. So in the future i can see laser that are power full not begin hard to get your hands on. But to keep the beam going like in star wars might be a hard trick.

OK, for those who haven't been around for very long, that is a real photograph of me taken at Star Trek: The Experience in 2003 with a real Marlboro in my mouth.

 

Best of all, I didn't even have to pay for that picture! The GMs paid for it.

Those aren't rose coloured sunglasses, they're the reflection of the lightsabre, a really nice touch makes it look realistic.
