Weird but addicting songs

59 posts in this topic

Post/name here the songs that have weird lyrics but are still addicting.

I have to say "The Candy Man" is addicting.

Who can take a sunrise,

Sprinkle it with dew?

Cover it in chocolate and a miracle or two…

The candyman, the candyman can,

The candyman can 'cause he mixes it with love

and makes the world taste good…

Who can take a rainbow,

Wrap it in a sigh?

Soak it in the sun and make the stra'bry lemon pie

The candyman? The candyman can…

The candyman can 'cause he mixes it with love

and makes the world taste good…

The Candyman makes

everything he bakes

Satisfying and delicious.

Talk about your childhood wishes.

You can even eat the dishes!

Who can take tomorrow,

Dip it in a dream?

Separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream,

The candyman? The Candyman can, the candyman can…

The candyman can 'cause he mixes it with love

and makes the world taste good…

And the world tastes good

'cause the candyman thinks it should…

There's one that one of my friends used to sing...it doesn't have a title but it's kinda funny.

"I don't like worms.

Worms make me crazy.

I was crazy once.

They locked me up

In a rubber room with worms.

And..."

It keeps repeating...gets stuck in your head.

I love My Grandfather's Clock. I always thought it was limited to colliery bands, but I found out today it's treated as a bluegrass number on the American side of the pond... strangely addictive.

man...noone has thought of "The Song that Never Ends"? for those of you too deprived in your childhood to have watched Lambchops PlayAlong, here is a short rendition:

This is the song that never ends,

Yes it goes on and on my friends.

Some people....started singing it not knowing what it was,

But they'll continue singing it forever just because.

This is the song that never ends,

Yes it goes on and on my friends.

Some people....started singing it not knowing what it was,

But they'll continue singing it forever just because.

This is the song that never ends,

Yes it goes on and on my friends.

Some people....started singing it not knowing what it was,

But they'll continue singing it forever just because.

I know...I'm evil :D

"I'm My Own Grandpa"

Many, many years ago, when I was twenty-three,

I was married to a widow who was pretty as could be.

This widow had a grown-up daughter who had hair of red.

My father fell in love with her, and soon they too were wed.

This made my dad my son-in-law and really changed my life.

Now my daughter was my mother, cause she was my father's wife.

To complicate the matter, even though it brought me joy,

I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boy.

My little baby then became a brother-in-law to Dad,

And so became my uncle, though it made me very sad.

For if he was my uncle, then that also made him brother

Of the widow's grown-up daughter, who, of course, was my stepmother.

Father's wife then had a son who kept him on the run,

And he became my grandchild, for he was my daughter's son.

My wife is now my mother's mother, and it makes me blue,

Because, although she is my wife, she's my grandmother, too.

Now if my wife is my grandmother, then I'm her grandchild,

And every time I think of it, it nearly drives me wild,

'Cause now I have become the strangest case you ever saw.

As husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpa!

Oh, I'm my own grandpa.

I'm my own grandpa.

It sounds funny I know but it really is so,

Oh, I'm my own grandpa

I'm my own grandpa

I'm my own grandpa...

It sounds funny I know

But it really is so
