Congratulations Sky Harbor Aegis

First of all, Congratulations to all of our Aegians. 10 years is an outstanding achievement.

I've started a thread over on the startrek.com message boards, asking for folks to contribute one of their favorite moments to the thread. It would also be nice to read about some of those here, but please pop over to startrek.com and share your stories with the world. What was your favorite story? What was the funniest thing that happened to you? Who were the friends you made?

Our longevity is one of our strongest selling points, and this is a wonderful opportunity to share with the Trek world at large exactly why we hang out here.

I can't think of a better way to honor the Aegis on this eventfull occasion.

Congratulations again all.

Moose

Here's to 10 years and 10 more years!

Aegis was the first sim I joined a little more than a year ago, back when I was a newly-minted graduate from the Academy. I'm still a young'un by most standards, but even just one year on Aegis has been amazing, and I cannot wait for several more to pass. :D

Every sim I've joined so far, of which Aegis was my first, I have not regretted. Fun has always been a priority, and I have always regarded Aegis as a welcome relief and a great way to kick off the weekend. It has the components you want when you kick back for recreation: great people and an interesting diversion. Best of all, though, is that when you leave the computer (yes, I hear some people actually do that!) the world is both the same and different when you've come back. It's this consistent change that has allowed Aegis to propel itself through 10 years of simming, and I hope to see it live another 10 years or more.

And to all you lurkers . . . if you haven't already sent in an application form then uh . . . why are you waiting? I'll just drink my tea and give you the benefit of a doubt. Yeah, maybe you were sending in the application just now but your computer crashed. Or perhaps your dog chewed through your Internet connection. Either way, since you're reading this now, go send in the application.

Long live Aegis.

I thought that was the only reason anyone came to an Aegis sim. :D

My head gets any bigger I don't think I'll be able to get it through the turbolift doors!

I'd actually forgotten about it for a while but for a few weeks I've been trying to think of a way to work it into a log recently! I think I've figured out so stay tuned. :D
