The Gossip Game"

A Nurse Amanda Per'Kay Adventure

 

Amanda Per'Kay could hardly believe it. There was a fire in her belly, a burning so ferocious she thought she was about to explode. Amanda Per'Kay had a desperate problem; she had some JUICY piece of gossip and was ready to just burst it out to anyone who would hear her. She shifted in her seat like a giddy schoolgirl waiting for the boy she liked to approach her. Instead, she saw a science officer whom she knew had the hots for her walking by. She reached out and clutched his arm; he was pulled back abruptly and then smiled at Amanda.

 

"Hey! .. erm.... Lieutenant." Amanda grinned, not really remembering his name; but then again .. it didn't really matter. His eyes glistened and his cheeks blushed a bit.

 

"Uh .. you don't have to call me that. Call me Rick..," he stammered out, unsure of how to act around the vixen of the Agincourt sickbay. Nurse Per'Kay, however .. grinned. Rick. That had been too easy.

 

"Yes.. of course, Rick. I was just wondering if you wanted to get some food in the Mess Hall with me? I hate to eat alone..." she fluttered her eyelashes, ".. and I feel like talking to someone."

 

'Anyone', she thought. She gave him a sweet look and could see him melting from the inside out. She sort of felt bad using him like this.. but she simply had to tell SOMEONE and he was the closest, easy target.

 

"I.. erm, sure.. sure. I'd love to. Wow, Amanda.. this is great.." he started rambling, but Amanda put a finger to his lips and shook her head.

 

"Shh, Rick. Let me tell you something I think you'll find pretty interesting.." she said, taking his arm and heading to the nearest lift. As the doors closed .. her voiced echoed, ".. did you realize we have a Romulan in our midst.....?"

 

The lift zipped away and the gossip game began.
