::she sat with her back against the main engineering console, watching as Jade and Darr took off to finish rounding up the rest of the wayward assassins.  She had told them that she felt fine, and that she would join them, but they had insisted that she sit, and await medical help.  Darr had placed a tourniquet around her thigh, to help staunch the bleeding, but they had all decided to leave the blade in, to prevent more blood loss. Kel had also checked on her, looking for assurance that she was fine,

before returning to check the status of her department.

Looking around, she saw the dead and injured lying around her. A few of those bodies also belonged to Republic crewmembers, though fortunately, the majority of which were only slightly injured.  The alpha and gamma security teams, were removing the bodies, taking some to sickbay or the morgue, the others to the brig.  The amount of blood spread around engineering was appalling, as was the loss of life. She knew that the assassins had come here for one reason, that being to kill, and that they had to be

stopped.  She knew that sometimes death, was part of the job, and she had killed before, when it was necessary. However, with the technology possessed aboard the Republic, there was not the need for the excessive amount of force and death that had ended this fight.  A heavy stun setting would have took any of them down, just as well as a heavier, kill type setting. Worse yet, was the mess created by that sword T'Kai had been using. Phasers had moved them away from these types of weapons, and Starfleet

usually frowned upon the use of such.  However, he had been wearing it since before she arrived onboard the ship, so he must have had prior approval for it.  Still, she made a mental note to herself, to discuss it's use with both he and the captain.

Blu looked around for Ensign Cohn, to see if she was available to assist her, and noticed that she had left. Probally to attend to someone that was more aggrieviously injured.  Deciding that she was tired of waiting, she reached up, grabbing the console, and pulled herself up to a standing position, all the while, clamping her teeth together against the pain.  She swayed slightly, not sure if it was from the pain, loss of blood, lack of sleep, or a combination of all three.  One other thought occured to

her, what if there had been something on the blade, the blade they had left in her leg this whole time.  At least she had one thing to bouy her spirits though.  She had seen Jade, so they must have been successful in retrieving the wayward crewmembers.

Wishing to see her friends, she moved towards the corridor.  At least that was her intention.  With her first step on the injured leg, pain jolted up the nerve in her leg, her vision blurred, and the leg collapsed out from under her.  Hissing, she fell to the floor.  To make matters worse,  when she fell, the blade jammed deeper into her leg, and snapped off at the hilt.  She immediately blacked out.

Moments later, she felt the sensation of movement.  Trying to open her eyes, see saw nothing but a blur, but it seemed as if she were floating down a corridor.  She drifted back into blackness.:::
