What Next?

Part of this log takes place before

the beam off to the Morningstar.

It was a simple plan, just blow up the ship.

"Just blow up the ship, right."

All Juhdia had to do was get everything in place to start an Impulse Drive overload.

"Easier said than done."

Juhdia started the overload procedure, easy enough. Then he tapped away signaling Kaufman to start his role in the twisted game of 'LET'S BLOW UP THE SHIP'. Yes, that was a fun game back at the Academy, but this was the real world and once the ship blew up, the silver walls would not appear, well if Heaven was anything like what they said it was, then he would be seeing silver walls and pearly gates. But with the life Juhdia lived, he would not be going to Heaven.

Then Juhdia tapped away for Admiran to start his link in the chain of destruction.

"Well old boy that's it and I'm dead. Never thought I would say that, I never really thought of my own mortality, it's hard to when you are like me. Mortality, I'll leave that for the weak at heart. But it will be hard to survive an explosion like this."

Juhdia weighed the thought of what was to happen next. There would be no way he could make it to an escape pod in time, that and why would he. Yes Excalibur the sword would survive and the Spear of Longinus, which would finally be the end of that. But most of all it would be the end of Juhdia.

"4,721 years old and this is how I die. Just great Juhdia, just great."

Juhdia noticed the tube he was communicating with the others start to shake, he grabbed the tube trying to make out what was being said, but with the gloves he was wearing it would be hard to make out the vibration of the Morse Code.

"Start the overload procedure, I already did that, what an ego the Commander has."

The next thing Juhdia saw was the emergency signal that the overload was shutdown, then what happened next was a surprise even to Juhdia. As his body start to disassemble the last thing Juhdia said on the Excalibur was, "What next?" What next was not what he expected.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Juhdia was now aboard the Morningstar with the others from the Excalibur, the announcement from Commander Corizon that the Excalibur would be taken for repairs was beyond Juhdia's rational. "It's a hunk of junk, just scrape it for salvage." Juhdia was the Excalibur's Chief Engineer, so if anyone would feel true ownership to her was him. But how could he put so much emotion to a thing, it had not been that long. Now if he had spent a hundred or so years with her than he would have felt sad. But, but wait he was thinking of the Excalibur as a 'Her', not an it. So maybe, just maybe he would miss her.
But no, there was another 'Her' that concerned Juhdia. And her fate weighed heavy on his mind and his heart. "Elaine"
"I'm sorry Lieutenant Xavier?"
Juhdia turned to see a crewman from the Morningstar.
"Sir, you can transport over to the Excalibur now, to get your personal belongings."
"Thank you."
One of the things Juhdia would have to get would be a new uniform, he had showered and got a new uniform from the replicator, but Juhdia was always a man of means and taste, so he was more of a custom suit man than someone who wore off the rack. Even in his days back in the United States Cavalry, his uniforms were custom made. Then he would have to get the sword Excalibur and the Spear of Longinus. But even more important than those things, would be Angus. That was if Angus was still alive.
(Is Angus still alive? Are Crispin's quarters still intact? Will Crispin and Elaine ever go out on a second not-a-date-date? For answers to these questions and more, stay tuned ::Soap theme plays::P
