Question about The ships

Are you referring to the different Trek eras, Murdok?

This is to the best of my knowledge:

Challenger - NX-01 period (like Enterprise)

Hood - TOS era

Agincourt - 20 years after Voyager

Excalibur, Manticore, Republic, Qob/Lakota, Arcadia, Reaent, Talon, and Sky Harbor Aegis are all post DS9/Voyager era, I believe. I could be wrong about this, so you will want to check up on individual ships specifically.

Yes i was thank you for that. Also thanks Slaw and Wesly, that was helpful, not need but helpful  .

I had another question, i was looking at the Interactive Sim Map. I was wondering are the ships that travel in the same time period, do they interact? If for example both ships where in the same are of space?

They can interact, but seldom do. I have only participated in one sim in the past two years or so when my sim interacted with another sim directly.

I'll be surprised the day Republic does an interactive sim...we're in the Gamma Quadrant, and I don't think we're anywhere near the other ships.

You never know, the Talon and the Arcadia did a joint sim last year, with much success. (i.e. lot of people from Arc, also joined Talon after, myself included) But, yes.. it is very rare for ships to interact within each other, but it does happen.

Another question

How does someone go about joining a ship once they have graduated?

Contact the Personnel Manager (Fred) and request an assignment to the sim of your choice.

The GM will ask for your email address and the personnel manager will send you an application form. You just have to fill it out and email it back.

EDIT: Or do what Seiben said.

LOL! I like the grinder...and stop asking about graduation. The GMs will keep you in the academy longer that way.

To Respond:

Yes we sometime interact. But not on a regular basis. Talon has done Joint Sims with the Arcadia and another with the Reaent , Republic did one with Aegis, and the Arcadia did one with the QoB/Lakota. But these things take a lot of coordination and planning, not to mention are hit or miss on pulling off.

Oh, and there is another ship in the Gamma Quadrant; the USS Excalibur is set in the Gamma Quadrant.

Like NDak said, sometimes ships interact. We even interact sometimes in different time periods. We had a fun sim recently on the Qob-Lakota where we went back in time 150 years and met up with the USS Hood. That made for a very interesting sim.

Half right. The Arcadia actually ran into the Mirror Universe equivalent to the Qob. Huff was a mud wrestler. Garnoopy was a Klingon. Van Roy was a drunken Vulcan frat boy and... well, OK, I actually just played myself.

The Qob was pink.

Hey there,

I do know Aegis and Republic had a brief connection for a week or so, but not a full joint sim. So there is interaction and I have heard of some GMs playing off of actions other games have taken. The issue with doing it all the time is sometimes a plot takes a month, other times it takes six months. Kind of hard to keep everything "in real time."
