Quiet Week

Kairi sat at in front of her mirror brushing her hair. She had already changed into her nightgown and was getting ready for bed.

 

"Computer, begin log."

 

It's been really slow the past couple of days. It's been a week since we returned from our survey mission to the Klingon planet, and I finally feel clean. Speaking of clean, it took us a couple days to get the battle bridge cleaned up after the excercises security and the marines conducted. Since then, things have been kind of boring, not that I'm complaining. I'm sure Starfleet will have the Agincourt on another mission soon.

 

On to a personal note, I'm starting to feel more at home on the ship. I've actually started to relax, though I still have my nervous fits every once in a while, especially when I see new people. I try not to worry too much, I think most of the crew think I'm half-Vulcan anyways, so I try to avoid the subject.

 

I'm getting along really well with the engineering team, and I've even made a friend. It's kinda odd, but for some reason I can tell Ron things I don't normally tell others, even my own family. Maybe it's due to the fact that we are quite similar. I was actually surprised I told him about myself though. I don't normally do things like that, but there's something about him. I'm just glad I've found someone to talk to.

 

Anyways I can ramble on, but I'm sleepy, and I have an early shift tommorrow.

 

"Computer, end log."

 

Kairi smiled a bit at herself in the mirror. Then she shut off the lights and crawled into bed.
