Operation: Defient "Gone Wrong"

Operation: Defiant Destruction Gone Wrong

Engineering Log

Begin Log---

The most dangerous assignment of my life was about to happen, and I was scared to death. I was in the Shuttle Pod headed for Defiant, when I remembered what these people are like. My particular counterpart was very violent; he liked to knock the chief out once or twice a week, just for fun. He got sent to the booth countless times, and he likes playing with phase pistols. He is the exact opposite of me.

One thing was comforting about it all though, if I was going to die, I was going to die with my best friend Will. I guess that puts a lighter side on things, not really, I really don’t wanna die with his ugly mug. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Shuttle pods are to small, and this one was full.

When I get nervous I like to kid around, and we were about to park the shuttle and leave it in the shuttle bay, wow a shuttle bay, more than two shuttle pods, and the Defiants shuttles weren’t lowered out, I really couldn’t wait to get over there, it was just the possibility of getting shot at that I really wasn’t looking forward to. Anyways, I said and here’s where the fun begins, and Dr. Remux, looked at me like I was insane, well we started talking, you know getting to know one another, when Will pulled out the E-Brake. We stayed in the Pod for a bit, we got Orders form Moore to remember everything we see down there, I just smiled, that’s why God created photographic memories.

Engineering Team was off. Just walking to the Turbolift put me in heaven, all the technological advancements that StarFleet will make in a hundred years. The lift was a bit different though, you hold on to these rod looking things and tell it where to go. We can talk to the ship and it understands us, man forget the 22nd century, I want to live in the future. Heaven only knows what kind of ships the 24th century has, maybe they have learned how to travel through time, and phase in and out of the space time continuum by the push of a button.

The ship was huge, it took a long time for the lift to get us to Engineering, or at least it seemed like it, I couldn’t tell with all the excitement I was having. Well the Lift stopped, and the doors opened and I felt like I was in heaven, in fact there’s nothing to say that I wasn’t. It was an Engineers dream come true, their warp reactor looked very different, they had the ability to make the shields that Conner, Lazarus, and myself were trying to make. I ran to the nearest console, and started looking at the workings of the ship, the warp core, this thing could go warp 8, I think I even drooled on the console, while I was living a dream, Will was fighting with a Technician, which I found very funny, although the situation could prove to be a problem. So I kept an eye on it.

I continued looking at the ship as a whole, following Moores orders and remember everything we see, and try to create it in our dimension. Then the worst happened. An alarm went off, Will screamed out questioning what the noise was. He ordered us to lock down Engineering. Was this actually happening, had we been discovered? The worst part of the mission was coming true, when we would have to defend ourselves against barbarians that were very capable of killing and torturing. We locked Engineering and I transferred the ships control to Engineering, if they were looking for us, they knew where to find us now. And it would only take time for them to knock down the doors and come in shooting.

Speaking of Shooting, we were in a room full of technicians, and we had to stop them before they had a chance to stop us, all four of us pulled out our phase pistols and killed them. I killed another Human, was I dreaming. Had this wonderful Utopia turned into a terrible nightmare?

Now the Engineering team is trapped in Engineering, with no clue of what happened to the other team. For all we knew they were all dead, and I was beginning to think that they were never going to find out about us. Now we have to finish the mission and try and stay alive at the same time. This Job just got a whole lot harder.
