I understand it...and it would make quite an interesting academy....though we would prolly need a double slot to get it done....

oooo..how about: while escorting peace delegates, Q arrives, transporting us back in time and the only way back is to barter with the ferengi to get klingon wine so we can assist the Borg in dunking NDak into said klingon wine on a Romulan ship

ok..lets take it step by step....

 

1) While aboard the USS Whatever, delivering peace delegates to Cardassia Prime (yeah I know...but this is the academy, it could happen)

2) Q arrives, transporting us back in time, now to get back, we must help the borg dump NDak in klingon wine

3) BUT...the only people in this sector who have Klingon wine are the Ferengi, so we must barter with them to get it

4)Since NDak is putting up such a fight, we need to enlist the aid of the romulans (again...this is an academy, it could happen) to help the borg dunk NDak...

I'm pretty sure this is where we'd die, eliminating any possibility of reaching step 3.
