What Lies Beneath

Dr. Desdemona Levy

Chief Medical Officer

A Log by Levy – What Lies Beneath

Mona stood in the medical center watching the three other officers. She smiled and a wave of happiness came over her. She had been slightly nervous about taking over the medical department, but watching everyone had put her mind at ease. On the mission she had mentally overworked herself and realized now that there had been no need for it. Would the team blend and work well together under her leadership. They proved they were well on their way. Though maybe not from her leadership since she had taken a passive approach on the mission. But she felt it was important to let them know she would support them and try and let everyone excel where their talents lay. Turning her attention back at the group she quietly examined each of them. Tethra seemed to have calmness about him. She had talked with him a few times about subjects other than medicine and every time he slightly amazed her. He had so much knowledge and rightly so for he was over 300 years old. She hoped he would share that with them all. Her interest was highly peaked in regards to what lay under his fishy exterior. Then she focused her gaze on Mia, the shy girl who hardly talked to Mona when they first met. Mona sensed she was getting a little more comfortable around the medical team. She knew once Mia came out of her shell they could expect great things from her. Then she made a mental note to ask Mia about the cute engineer she knew. Then there was Ensign Sydney Richardson. She was not part of medical but Mona had a feeling their departments would be working together a lot. Although the ensign could try her patience at times there was something very endearing about her. She had a childlike enthusiasm for life. Mona at times wished she had that and maybe if she got to know Richardson better some of it might rub off. Her train of thought shifted from each person back to the group, then expanded to the entire crew of the Agincourt. They were her family in a way. People she lived and worked with, supported, respected and trusted with her life. She sighed. “Well enough of the Betazoid examination of people, back to work” she thought
