Another Book Recommendation

Hi all, thought I'd post another book recommendation.

Star Wars: Medstar 1: Battle Surgeons

Battle Surgeons centers on a military hospital stationed in a war zone, very similar to MASH. There is a nice combo of medical "stuff" and political intrigue as well as the pre requisite Jedi goings on. :D If your interested in doctors or MASH medical, the SW military, or a book that isn't "totally" about the Jedi, check it out.

if you like the idea of not focusing on Jedi, you should try the Republic Commando stories and game.

Yepper! Been there and done that. The Republic Commando game is EXCELLENT, and the book based on game is well written.

A sequel book to Hard Contact is also in the works, "Triple Zero". Here is a link from author Karen Traviss' site: http://www.karentraviss.com/html/cont_nov.htm (scroll down a bit, to right, little blurb.)

I wish I had heard about this when I still played Star Wars Galaxies. I used to be a doctor on Tatooine. It was a lot of fun, but this book might have helped me come up with more medical procedures/lingo to draw from.

UPDATE: I am also checking out Medstar 2: Jedi Healer.

Again, this book looks at a mobile surgical hospital within enemy territory. The MASH meets Military meets Jedi is refreshing. I recommend both of these books for any of you interested in the medical slant, the clone/military slant, and the political type of mysteries. Nice blend of these aspects.
