Dumbass

Darth Dumbass IV

I was still curious about this H'tiss weaponry operates, so I went down to Security to assist Chief Daryus in his analysis. I inquired about the purple crystal he aquired. Noticibly different from the other crystals we have seen but it apparently serves the same function as the others. We still do not have the ability to replicate or even duplicate any of the H'tiss technology which limits our ability to run any tests.

Their white battle armor is most curious. It doesn't stop phasers, disruptors, these new "blasters", or even my Lightsaber. In fact the only thing it might stop are projectile weapons of limited power, surely obsolite in this galaxy, and possibly some explosive demolitions. Even still, it wouldn't provide complete protection against even these smaller weapons as the projectiles could easily penetrate the joints between the armor pieces. Seems to be an impractical means of defense. Perhaps the working armor contains some life-support or comfort systems. That would be the only value I see. Or perhaps the armor is intended as a kind of false assurance against harm to embolden their warriors.

At any rate, since we lack the ability to replicate the armor, and have only a limited supply on hand, the only thing we could do was simulate the armored soldiers in the Holodeck. With my lightsaber I engaged 3 of these holodeck warriors. The lightsaber apparently has the ability to reflect their blaster shots. With a little skill these shots can even be reflected back at the firer. Apparently this Lightsaber can also be of use in longer-range firefights rather than simply as a close quarters melee weapon. I dispatched these holo-warriors with ease so Daryus increased the intensity of the program.

I must admit it was an interesting sensation. However, even at higher intensity, I grew bored with the progrm. After dispatching 2 of the warriors I simply waived my hand and the 3rd warrior slammed into the holodeck wall. More later.
