Fun in Security

Chief Security Officers log, Stardate 0506.28:

I went to security after returning the pretty, but utterly useless crystals. I kept one purple one as a paperweight. I was kinda down. I wanted a light sword, they looked quite impressive in action. I got a cup of coffee and sat down to clean and tune my personal compression rifle. Van Roy came in and asked if the crystals I bought worked. I told him no. He asked if I had any success in replicating or finding out anything about the T'hiss armor. I told him that the alien woman told me the armor was a tri-polymer fiber mesh held together with a strong sealant, with a metalic glass like finish. I replicated it as best as possible and replicated some troopers to test our weapons on. I found out that as intimidating as the white and black armor looked, it wasn't impenetrable. A compressed beam weapon, or a disruptor set to narrow beam could cut through, and a good bladed weapon could slice through the joints of the armor. He asked if he could test the armor with his light sword. He went into the security holodeck and dialed up some troopers. I watched from the monitor in security. It didn't take long for him to slice the troopers to pieces. I laughed, he was having way too much fun for a Vulcan. He came out and told me it was too easy. I told him that I wouldn't know exactly how the armor reacted until I could get an actual sample. I hope the rat that Kwalus talked to can get us some. More later.
