Ah it has to be the Cheyenne Class then. ;)

The Excelsior. Cos of that funky engine. God I sound technical. I'm gonna make a stupid guess and say we never found out. They didn't mention it again after star trek 3 did they? You just saw Sulu commanding it in 6.

LoAmi, the Excelsior was relaunched with a standard warp drive. That's canon. No one knows what happened to its transwarp system though, so that would be speculation. ^_^
