Okay well I couldnt find the poll thingy so I guess I'll ask. So what are your favorite types of music. And it gets boring when everyone says rap and how eminem and 50 cent is cool. So does anyone like different kinds of music?

:P And a random question, what is the 'lava' in lava lamps made of?

The "Poll Thingy" is right next to New Topic...It says New Poll.

It's Indie-Rock n' Roll for Me.....

I also like Brit-Pop...and some Classic Rock...A lot of 80's and some New Wave and Post-punk...And a bit of Techno.

And what lava in a lava lamp is made of is a bit of a trade-secret kind of like the Special Sauce at McDonalds. However there are a few leads, there are a couple of helpful sites on the topic that state that the chemicals listed on the patent are: water and a solidified globule of mineral oil, paraffin and a dye as well as paraffin wax or petroleum jelly, preferably Ondina 17 with a light paraffin, carbontetrachoride. So there you have your answer to the best of EVERYONE's knowledge aside from the ones who Make them...

How I love to reply to those questions...I should really save my answer in word and copy/paste it anytime someone asks :P.

So I'm all into classic rock and pop. Genesis, Phil Collins, Dire Straits stuff like that. Most stuff you get on the radio nowadays is either rap (I don't really like that) or it all sounds the same, you usually cannot even tell the difference between bands anymore. I miss the good old days when you could go to a pub and there would be a band playing LIVE!!!!!!!! You don't get that very often anymore. ::sighs:: Anyway that's just my opinion.

Now now, don't exclude people's choices just because it bores *you*. :P

I just want glow in the dark lava, I don't care what they make it out of.

Now, music? Classical aside, I just found and LOVE Elvis Crespo.

Enya

So other people have heard of her before... wow... okay, moving on...

As the original question was "favorite types of music" I'll kind of go with that... and list what I've been hearing a lot of lately...

Classic Rock

The Beetles, The Ramones, The Who, Rolling Stones, The Byrds, Strawberry Alarm Clock...

Christian Rock

Emery, Fleming and John, Demon Hunter, Calibretto 13, mewithoutyou, Skillet, underoath, Spoken, showbread, Relient K, Superchic[k], Joy Electric, TobyMac, KJ 52, O. C. Supertones, project 86, twothirtyeight, Rock and Roll Worship Circus, Starflyer 59...

Other stuff I've listened to and liked were jpop stuff (Naruto, Digimon, and Inuyasha themes being some of the best there...), some stuff that my coworkers play all the time (White Stripes, Weezer, Eric Clapton...), and pretty much anything Classical I hear I like (although John Williams, Antonin Dvorak, Carl Orff, and Mozart I listen to often just for fun...)

And my first cd I bought was a Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Greatest Hits cd, it was pink with a swan on it I believe, and I loved it and how his first name is spelled, and then my youngest sister stepped on it and it died.

Most of the artists you listed date me a little (though I grew up a huge Carman fan, who didn't?), but while I'm not a huge fan of Gaither's music, I do love the homecoming concerts he puts on. Greats like Ray Boltz, Sandi Patti, Don Francisco, Mark Lowery have all been apart of of the Gaither movement.

:)
