Knee Deep in Klingons

Kairi was still trying to catch her breath, and hopefully not lose her lunch in the process. The evaluation team consisting of Chief Prell, Lunn, Pilot, Krasner, and herself had just finished checking out the Klingon sewage treatment facility.

 

Unfortunately for Kairi, she never made it into the door. Her nose was instantly assaulted by the hideous smell, and she was forced to back away. Sometimes Kairi doesn't mind the perks of heightened senses, but this just happened to be one of those moments where she cursed them.

 

Losing her lunch wasn't her only problem though. Kairi was very uneasy being around the Klingons, as she had every right to be. History has dictated time and again that the Klingons and Kairi's "people" don't get along. She'd just have to be careful not to raise any suspicions.

 

Even though she was scared, Kairi did feel a bit of relief knowing that she was around friends that wouldn't allow anything to happen to her.
