I like em both actually.

Which do you like and why?

I like yoda because the first time I saw him he made think of puke. And before I knew what a knew what a Klingon was I thought Worf got beat in the head alot.

Quite frankly, I like both equally. Both series has their merits for which I grow forever attached. ;)

Had to be honest and go with Star Trek.

I do enjoy Star Wars, have followed the movies since the Classic Wars movies, and lately have even been checking out a few of the Star Wars PC games (Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Republic Commando) as well as the fiction novels. But, Star Trek is where my heart lies and I enjoy Star Trek more.

I like Star Wars but I am obsessed with Star Trek. I grew up with Star Trek and since Star Wars (the classics) were long before my time I just kinda stumbled across them one day.

Star Wars.

First because I see it as more realistic. Yeah, I know that sounds stupid, but I cant see humans picking up their game and fixing up the galaxy to the moneyless utopia it is in TNG and such.

Secondly, when I ask myself, would I rather be doing if either universe were real? Stuff behind a console doing scans and useless things, or god forbid wearing a red shirt. Or, smugling spices from Kessel, flying a A-Wing (screw those Crappy X-Wings) fighter fighting against the empire, or hell, fighting punks with a lightsaber and still geting the girl in the end.

The Star Wars universe is just so much more appealing. Lightsaberz!

I fell in love with them after the first A-Wing mission you play on the Star Wars: Rouge Squadron game for N64.

I liked A-wings after playing Star Wars: X-wing... they were faster I thought, and I liked the fact that bumping the wrong button didn't lead to a s-foil noise that distracted and/or got me killed...

As for Star Trek vs. Star Wars... they are two entirely different things. One can not compare them in my opinion. It would be like trying to compare Happy Days to Friends... similar settings, but different in sooo many different ways.

And now I'm done blithering and am going to go to bed. ;)

I like both pretty equally.. well, Star Wars maybe just a point over Trek. Or half a point. But it's very close.

Love 'em both. SW had/has the market on creativity with diverse aliens, cool ships and weapons, but ST is far more extensive, allowing for more freedom in roleplaying, imo.

Star Trek over Star Wars. I didn't even like Star Wars until recently (almost sacreligious, I know); heck, I really didn't even understand what was going on half the time until I was forced to watch the other 5 in sequence after I went to see SW III.

Even now, though, I only have a mild respect/liking of it. Star Trek is mostly exploring, with some good fighting thrown in here and there. I just see Star Wars as a big galaxy shoot 'em up kind of thing. There's nothing wrong with that at all, but it's just not my preference.

Back in the day I didn't have that much respect for it either. But then I started watching it more and more and I learned to appreciate it. I see them as two different types of Sci-Fi.

I've always liked them both. Star Trek is more science, but Star Wars is more fantasy. That's why both series appeal to me. As for the weapons, LIGHTSABERS RULE! Phasers are okay.

You don't like Chewbacca? He's probably my favorite Star Wars character. Followed closely by Han Solo.
