All STSF Character Docs

This is for all the people here who play Doctors on the ships, and even those of us that are into First Person Shooters.

The storyline won't knock your socks off, but I'd like to recommend it. It does carry a Mature rating, btw. ;)

 

Pariah starts you in the part of Jack Mason, a doctor fallen on hard times. During a prisoner transport, things go horribly wrong (of course). I like that the main character is a doctor rather then the usual commando, special ops, military type guy. The graphics are really solid, as are the ragdoll physics. The weapons are the usual, although I do have a fondness for the grenade launcher and sniper rifle. There is just enough science fiction in the cutscenes and game locations to keep me interested and the soundtrack is not half bad either. The AI can be a bit...stupid lol..at times, yet at other times they make you work for your goals. So it all does balance out.

 

So if anyone might be interested - check out the website and see what you think. I give it an 7.5 out of 10. I for one am having a good time playing it.

Yep,yep yep, for all those who never believed it we docs can do the killing,too.

 

Anyway I checked out the website and actually I saw the game today and even considered buying it...until I compared the price to the actual amount of money in my bank account. Anyway it looks pretty good to me. I think I'd like to try it.

In this game the Doctor is definitely all about the wOOt. I mean...Doctor using a Sniper Rifle...Science Fiction....stuff goes Boom...Now THIS is a Kansas Jones game - Woo! ;)

 

The price tag is $40.00. The game itself has a few different difficulty settings ( I am currently playing it on the easiest - "Its Only a Flesh Wound"), so as for replay, if you like this type of sci fi game then the replay value should be there for y'all. Another cool thing is the weapons are upgradable as you progress through the game, so that is a little different gaming wise. Usually the weapons remain the same.

 

Pariah is not the best game you are ever going to play, but in a gaming world where Half Life, Halo and Unreal Tournament rules, it does pretty well on it's own, "fun factor" wise. And I was in a couple Multiplayer games and that was a blast also, vehicles were usable, so I give the MP kudos also.
