It's difficult to decide between Janeway and Picard but I think all in all Picard makes the better Captain even though Janeway is more human in many ways.

I would rather serve under Picard, but Sisko was more the way a Starfleet Captain would actually be.

In response to Vatric, Picard wouldn't want to be Admiral, remember what Kirk and him talked about: "Going to retire?" "Hadn't Planned on it." "Good, don't let them talk you in to it, don't let them make you, don't let them promote you and don't let them do anything to take that ship from under you."

A loose quote I haven't seen the movie in about 6 months.

Picard. Mostly because TNG was the first series I grew into.

I love picard more than all the others but guys we have to admit the guy was a little bit too light-handed when asses needed a whoopin'

My vote goes to Sisko.

I mean everyone else was great and all, but Sisko was the only one who seemed real. He's a single father put into a position he didn't want to be in, and he has to cope with it. He also showed his emotions and wasn't afraid to do so.

Everyone else seemed to perfect, and Sisko wasn't afraid to show his flaws.

I disagree with that...some of the best battle quotes come from Picard, heck just watch ST: FC and you'll see he knows when to fight...

He's put in a place where he's flying the flagship of the Federation and there are a lot of lives in his hands...If I were him I'd be more weary of charging in to battle sometimes too... Just a thought.

Captain James T. Kirk, all the way, first series and still the best captain. ;)

Just for the heck of it -

2nd: Archer

3rd: Picard and Janeway tied

4th: Sisko

I am going Janeway on this one cuz girls kick @ss and we do it in heels. but Picard is very close. If only he had the heels. ;)

Well in First contact he went nuts and needed to be busted into line! I think they were trying to show how he's always been the last one to run into battle but that this time he's just snapped, its all got too much for him. Hmmm maybe he needs some anger management. ;)
