Taking from all of the ST programs, assemble your ideal crew. Explain why each character was singled out as your choice over the unchosen others. Assume that you are a crew member on a vessel serving w/each of your chosen characters. Perhaps you've chosen some for their unmatched level of skill in a certain field.Or perhaps its due to the interactive properties that they would hold for you as a crew-mate. Choose only 7 characters...and let us know why they have been chosen.

Captain: Jean-Luc Picard: Great Leader, level headed.

 

XO: Spock: Unwavering, highly intelligent, and loyal.

 

OPS: Jadzia Dax: Been around for hundreds of years, and most loyal.

 

Helm: Travis Mayweather: Young but experienced and over all a good officer.

 

Science: Data: Capable of many things but I would use him in this posting.

 

Engineering: Miles O'Brien: Can fix anything but he's also a more versatile officer.

 

Security: Malcolm Reed: I just liked this character, he was strong and determined.

 

Medical: Dr. McCoy: No question in my mind it's either him or Phlox, and I like McCoy better.

 

Any other positions I'd use the various members in this order:

Captain: Picard, Great leader with charm and charisma to go with it.

XO:Spock, Cool, level-headed and very intellegent.

OPS: Data. A lean, mean multi-tasking machine

TAC: Tuvok, like Spock he was very calm and collected and logical.

CSCI: Seven.. just cuz she looks so hot in that catsuit. ;)

CENG: Scotty, "Anymore, and she's gonna blow!"

CMO: Mc Coy. "Damn it Jim!.."

Okay, here goes:

 

Ships Captain : Spock (Between experience & over-all sense of wisdom, I think he would make an excellent captain)

 

1st officer : Data (Knowledge & over all capabiltity)

 

Ships Counselor/ Advisor : Deanna Troi (Her abilities, being half Betazoid. Past experience and level of insight)

 

Security : Odo (Abilities as a changeling, and level of dedication to his duties)

 

Chief Helmsman/ Pilot : Tom Paris (Innate skill and level of interest in flight and piloting make him the best choice.)

 

Chief Engineer : Miles O'Brien (Experience, skill and over-all degree of talent as an engineer)

 

Chief Medical Officer : Dr. Julian Bashir (Level and degree of talent as a medical officer. Skilled enough that his name is recognized by the whos-who of Star Fleet Medical)
