Kitty's lost in space.

Chief Security Officers log, Stardate 0505.22:

Lost in space again. I'm beginning to feel a bit like Will Robinson. The temporal drive malfunctioned again and sent us reeling 7 million or so light years from Federation space. Bch is still injured and in sickbay. We've gathered some information on the quadrent of space that we're in, trading fresh apples to a lizard like being for it. We've also come across a very interesting person. She was traveling in a broken down looking freighter, and she was being attacked by an unknown force. We rescued her and took her on board. We were able to obtain a few weapons from the force that attacked her. One of the hand weapons was confiscated by Lt. Van Roy. It was a very interesting laser sword. I was able to view it in action. It appears to emit a controled photon energy beam. Van Roy said that it used a crystal to concentrate the energy and create the beam. He also said the crystal could not be replicated. Lagh Sargh confiscated an interesting pistol. It shoots a tightly concentrated energy beam. I've asked to have access to these weapons to test them in the controled inviroment of security's target range. That evening, Messner hosted a dinner for the traveler. I attended and sat across from her, wishing to talk at length with her about the hand weapons. Van Roy sat next to me and I whispered to him about garnering some info about where we could find those crystals. He told me to let her enjoy her drinks first. I understood and had to stifle a belly laugh. The good Vulcan was getting our guest crapfaced drunk, then he was going to ask her. I sat back and sipped my bloodwine and ate waiting to see how this alien could handle good Klingon bloodwine. More later.
