Rising darkness...Kroells's logs

“Rising Darkness” Kroells’s Logs

Travis quietly sat in engineering watching the events go by in a some what slow motion.  He didn’t quite remember the last time he felt like this.  His head was swelling as he attempted to retrace through his memories without hitting any thing that would further dampen his spirits.  In the back of mind he noticed the away team heading up the Jeffries tubes to the decks above.

He slowly began to climb the ladder quickly shaking his head trying to wipe some of the sweat that was beginning to form due to the heat of the tube and the exercise.  “Travis” He slowly looked around looking if McLean or Garnoopy had said something.  He quickly dismissed it as the heat and the stress getting to him.  He quickly shook his head again as he noticed the team arrived at their destination.

He briskly stepped onto the deck that they had meant to arrive on and wiped the little sweat off that had collected.  McLean was out of breath, he used all of his restraint not to laugh at him.  He thought it sad that with the facilities available to them that he couldn’t just head to a holo gym for an hour a day.  He then turned to Garnoopy.  He seemed unaffected and Travis wasn’t surprised.  That Garnoopy had weirded him out after he managed to jump that hole with out any help.  He wouldn’t be surprised if some one cut off a finger with out him even flinching.  “Travis” Travis quickly turned around again.  He was getting rather worried.  Something was messing with his head…and he didn’t know if it was just the heat any more.
