Iraq signed the cease fire in 1991 and they were already violating that agreement in 1992.  In my opinion, the war should have started then.

Most of us (like me) who served in the "first" Iraq war view this as an extention of the same war.  Technically there was only a cease fire, a temporary suspention of hostilities conditional on Iraq's disarmerment of NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) weapons.  They failed to do this, so here we are.

When events do fully transpire, please remember to keep our military in your prayers regardless if you believe war is justified or not.  Also remember the families of those who are fighting, they are as much involved as the men and women on the front lines.  God Bless America.

Well, we're at war regardless of when. I'm with Dac.. we never ended the Gulf War, we just had a cease fire. Its about time we finished it. And I won't point fingers at any philandering presidents who didn't finish.. oh wait.. I'm pointing a finger...

I'm sitting here watching the protesters in San Francisco... I knew it was coming, they kept saying they were going to do it, but I still can't believe it. I just don't understand the mentality that says *I don't like that we are at war, so I am going to chain myself to 15 other people and stop people from going to work who have nothing to do with the war.*

If they need to protest, do it where normal working joe's aren't affected.

Well, I dont realy care. AllI am doing is sitting hear, insulting the Canadian goverment (one of Canada's past times) and saying Eh. Ohhh well, our millitary is a bunch of weaklings. No, no, we dont have a millitary, or a noticiable one atleast.

But war has started, or resumme, and I really dont care, because we are to weak to get involved.

Can you believe that people are actually protesting this?

Preventing people from getting to work? Someone said that first hand on the boards here.

And I was watching the news where it said the protesters had to be diverted a large number of police to supervise and control them.

These people need to be arrested. They have freedom of speech...they don't have the right to interefere with other people's lives.

Don't have a military?  What could you possibly mean?  A few years ago, after a huge ice storm crippled Eastern Canada (near the US border, where the people live), Canadian soldiers were hard at work picking ice and shoveling snow!

The protestors are back at it again in San Fransisco this morning. Apparently they are trying to block the Bay Bridge this morning. Like 200 of them. So guess what? Highway Patrol is having to work overtime, and stop real crime to try and keep them off the bridge so people can go to work. This is just one of the many incidents. The Bay Area is a hotbed of protesting.

Had an interesting bit on the news of a woman confronting a protestor who was blocking the sidewalk telling him he should be kissing the ground that he had the freedom to protest. His response? (Besides grabbing her arm and yelling at her) That he was supporting our military, by protesting their involovement. Gotta love that kind of convoluted logic.

Hey Dac... when you move, I'm coming with ya!!!!!!!

Yes, protesters ... it *is* their right to express their opinion -- right outside the main gate of the base I live on, keeping our military members from entering to start their duty day, civilian contractors (thousands of them) for getting to their jobs, and preventing people like me from LEAVING the base.  I had five kids to get to school, and believe me.  Nothing -- NOTHING is worse that an upset mom with five rowdie kids in the car.  They're lucky I didn't express my rights and hit them with my door as I went by.  Better yet, next time I'll just leave the kids with them.  :)  ::starts collecting boxes for the move::

No, no Dac, it'd be more fun for you to just *accidentally* run over a few. ...kidding ... KIDDING!  :)

Well as a point it really wouldn't be good protesting if they did it in some godforsaken nowhere where no one lives for thousands of miles as to not interrupt anyone's lives. If they wanted to do that they'd all move to Canada!

I feel kinda bad for saying this, but I was hoping war would start, Saddam has been abusing his neighbors for so long, like Iran, almost a Nuclear power, he's been begging Iran for help with his 'nuclear program' (a bottle rocket and some uranium marbles) and I don't blame Bush, if someone tried to kill my dad I go up to them and **** them up too, but what I wanna see is the MOAB in use, perhaps in some forsaken military installment, not on civilians, and I think the media is a bit too hyped up on war, all 4 major news network (MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, NBC) are all on this 24/7, isn't there anything else important goin on in the world? or is everyone else in the world paranoid and glued to their TV's waiting for the announcement of nuclear annihilation and finally getting a chance to use that 100 lbs jumbo roll of duct tape, I just hope they end this soon, so we can liberate Iraq, and one thing that's been thrown around alot, and I finally have an answer for it

Since when has the definition of 'regime change' mean the same assassination?

Since most regimes would rather die then give up power. (Which we'll gladly arrange for you.)
