V is for Victory!

"V is for Victory!"

Log entry 30: SD 10505.14

On board RES Firestorm, somewhere in Rihannsu space

"Increase our speed to Warp 8, and engage when ready" said the Firestorm's captian, Ennarain tr'Raddik. "Ie, rekkhai replies the young helm officer as he performed the task. A few seconds later, the Firestorm jumps to warp. With that, tr'Raddik got up from his seat and entered his chambers. "Au have the oira" he said to the second in command before leaving the Oira.

Seated at the chair acrosss from Raddik's desk was tr'Mok, the "master-mind" to the recent theft of EPSILON and the attacks on ch'Rihan and the Research Lab. "So Ennarain, what do au think of the EPSILON prototype now? Heh, I'd say it far exceeds our expectations, ie?"

Raddik smiled and nodded. "Ie, that it does. But I still think we ought to use it on more than these insignifigant little scout ships. The Empire will na take us seriously otherwise" he said. "Ie, but we couldn't let that ship contact Galae command and inform them of our location. And also, I wanted to see what EPSILON would do to a ship first hand" replied tr'Mok.

"Ie, but the crew and I grow restless. We want to strike at the heart of the Empire once again. Au know, the Rihannsu Senate is still na giving into our demands. And they only have a week left. This is because they do na take us seriously" said tr'Radik.

"I am aware of that Etre tr'Raddik. But I first wanted to make sure EPSILON lived up to it's expectations first. But.." he said holding up a finger, "We shall proceed with Stage 2 of our attacks post haste. Follow me out to the Oira" tr'Mok and tr'Raddik both stepped out of the chambers and back into the Oira.

With a smirk on his face, he sat in the Centre command seat, giving out orders. "Begin a search of the area for any ships or Outposts nearby" tr'Mok said to the XO. "Ie, rekkhai" he simply replied. Whilst the XO was beginning his search, tr'Mok pressed a button initiating a ship-wide comm, and began to tell the others the plan.

"Stage 1 of our attacks was a complete success. We now have the EPSILON unit in our posession and have proven that the destructiveness of the prototype was not understated. Be shall now begin attacks on larger ships and Outposts, considered important to the Rihannsu Saeihr Nneikha.

"They may not want to negotiate with us right now, I believe they will once their key installations and ships have been destroyed. We will cut off all supplies, food and repair facilities to the Empire, crippling them to a grinding halt. Then, those fools on ch'Rihan will have na choice, but to comply with our demands. The end is near my dear friends. We will be victorious. The proud peoples of Vulcan and ch'Rihan will be re-united once again!"

Cheers errupted on the Oira and throughout the ship. Smiling the XO turned to tr'Mok and Raddik. "Rekkhais, I have located Outpost 212 only about 6.6 light years away" he said. tr'Mok rubbed his chin. "Menkha. Set a course" he said to the Helmsman. "Right. ETA is approximately 1 hour" tr'Mok smiled. This was just the target he'd been looking for.

Outpost 212, located near the Rihannsu/Klinghannsu borders was a key research and repair facility for the Empire. It was mainly used to spy on the neighbouring Klinghannsus, but it's also the third biggest repair facility the Empire has in stock. "But wait. There's more" the XO replied. "Sensors indicate another ship about 100 light years west of here. It's the Talon"

"The Galae Flagship" tr'Mok thought to himself. "I figured they would send her in to investigate and try to find us" The XO looked at tr'Mok. "Should we change course and intercept them?" he asked. "Na" replied tr'Mok almost immediately. "Continue our course to the outpost. We're gonna kill two birds with one stone, and eliminate them both. This will surely get the Preator's attention and make him all the more willing to comply with us"

60 minutes later...

A series of loud beeps from the Helm's console notified everyone on the Oira of their arrival at Outpost 212. "We have arrived at our destination, rekkhais" replied the Helmsman. "Menkha. Are we still cloaked and out of their sensor range?" tr'Radik asked. "Ie, we are" replied the XO. tr'Mok smirked and got up from his seat standing in front of the Command seat.

"How many people are in the Outpost?" asked tr'Mok. The XO tapped a series of buttons before coming up with the answer. "5138 persons, rekkhai" tr'Mok nodded. "Excellent. A pity so many people wll y'yya. But.. it is for a good cause. Charge up EPSILON and open fire when ready" tr'Mok said.

"Now, hack into their etrehh and disable their shields" ordered tr'Mok. They XO didn't respond but carried out the orders. EPSILON had no troubles at all breaking through the outpost's firewall software and into it's computer mainframe. "We're in" replies the XO. "Disabling shields now" with a press of a button, the Outpost's shields were disabled made noticeable by a temorary flicker of green light.

"Shields are down" the XO replied. "Menkha. Fire" says tr'Mok. At that precise moment, the EPSILON beam lit up the space like a flashlight giving off it's rather unique tachyon signatures. But, less than a second later the beam struck it's target and hit the Outpost dead on. A large chunk of the outpost instantaneously exploded setting off a chain reaction, causing the Outpost to explode into a billion pieces ten seconds later.

There were no survivors as noone even had time to get to the escape pods. tr'Mok chuckled menacingly. "Good job. Now, open a channel to Galae Command, and all ships within the vicinity" The Operations officer nodded and opened the channel. Once the Operations officer notified tr'Mok that the channel was open, he began to speak.

"Galae Command. No doubt by now, you are now aware of what just happened to Outpost 212. I bet au are thinking I'm some sort of monster killing off all 5138 innocent people on that outpost, but it is nothing compared to the millions of people au have y'yyaed just to further aus own greedy agendas. As I said bfore, the Rihannsu goernment is weak and corrupt, reliing on greed and violence to strenghten the Empire.

"Au are also aware of our demands -- re-unification between the Rihannsus and the Vulcans. We gave au 30 days to comply; au now have 7. Au are now painfully aware of what we can do, and rest assured any ships attempting to stop us will meet the same fate as the Outpost. So, let this be aus final warning" tr'Mok looked at the Operations officer who cut off the comm. "Channel closed" he said.

"What will we do now?" asked tr'Raddik. "Now, we wait. Set a course north of here. If I know the Gale, they will send in their ships to try to stop us, one of which I hope is the Talon. These people do na know who they're dealing with, so let's stick and around and remind them" he said with a sneer. "It's only a matter of time, my dear Raddik. Victory wll be ours:
