I love Veggie Tales, not only for its animation and great writing, but also for the positive message that it brings to children. B)

Not into it.

Nor am I, I'm a little too old for it. And If it's not Japanese, It's not worth my time. B) But yeah.. if I had kids of my own, then I'd buy it for them.. :P

Ugh, Veggietales. I think this show helped push me into being an Atheist...

No offense to anyone who somehow got offended.

Well, the series itself is unashamedly Christian and presents the world from a Judeo-Christian worldview perspective. The benefits or harms of such programming can be debated. Yet, I've always believed that the positive message, which is usually character building, outweighs much of the religious influence. Lessons in loving your neighbor, perserverance, forgiveness, for example, are lessons that all human beings need in order to live in a world with other human beings. I think that Veggie Tales does an excellent job at this and is even entertaining in the process!

Besides, the USS Applepie episode is just plain awesome. B)

Wow if ever we get a new sim I suggest the ship's name to be USS Applepie maybe you could make it Cucumber-Class.

As always, you guys need to lighten up. Veggie Tales are hilarious, and those of you who are too cool to indulge are missing out on some very, very funny stuff.

Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber perform some of the best "give and take" schtick I've seen since Rowan and Martin. The two minute intro where Larry first dresses up like "Larry Boy" the superhero are one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And if you haven't heard any of the "Silly Songs With Larry," you're missing out on some of the cleverest parodies you'll ever hear.

Not all of it carries a religious message. Most of it is just plain silly.

On one of their music-only tapes, Archibald Asperigus did a rendition of Gilbert & Sullivan's "Modern Major General", which my kid learned to copy word for word in perfect tempo when he was five. That left alot of jaws hanging open when I could get him to do "kid tricks".

Okay, I admit I'm not too familiar with "Veggie Tales", heard a few things about it because of some little cousins, but after all these postive comments I am curious.

I like what I am hearing about "Veggies" being positive for children.

The USS Applepie - Any show that is pro-Trek works for me!

My favorite so far of the movies would have to be Sumo of the Opera... it has the Three Veggie Stooges and the line in the St. Patrick skit...

"Patrick had to learn their language... because not everyone knows English, like in Star Trek."

I"m the oldest of 6 children, and my family owns every episode available! I loved the USS Applepie, but my all time favorite was "Omlet" and "Lyle the kindly Viking" Those were the best!!!

And By the way I"m a Vegitarian!
