Ens T'vin Biographical information

Name: T'vin

Rank: Ensign

Gender: Female

Age: 20.5 (FS years)

Species: Vulcan

Hair Color: Brown

Eye Color: Blue

Telepathic Status: Average

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 145 lbs.

Primary Position: Assistant Science Officer

Current Assignment: U.S.S. Arcadia NCC-1742-?

Place of Birth: Vulcan. (see below)

Background:

T'vin was born on Vulcan as the first and only child of Sofer, the chief engineer of a civilian transport, and T’rie, a psychology major from the Vulcan Science Academy. Her parents were on route to Taugus in a small shuttlecraft, when a warp-core breach exploded the craft, orphaning her in infancy.

T’rie had acquaintances on Terra who became T’vin’s guardians and raised her as their very own. Nimart and Mieta (Human caretakers) told her that Sofer and T’rie were archeologists and died from a neuro-toxin found at one of the recovery sites. Nimart studies cultural artifacts from the 20th century, while Mieta writes holo-programs. Her advanced billiards program recently won the TEAAP “Holo-program of the year award”. They have three younger children and live in the city of Los Angeles.

T’vin learned quickly growing up and went to specialized schools for off-world children and was always ranked in the top of her class. Early on, she discovered a passion for linguistics. Following her Kas Wahn (ritual Vulcan maturity test) she became preoccupied with traveling mostly on Terra and its colonies. The cultural exchange she underwent only increased her insatiable desire for knowledge and her ability to be flexible. She studied Vulcan mental disciplines and self-defense briefly at the embassy, while her teacher, T’res, served on the Ambassador’s staff.

A trip to the museum on Babel, the history museum specifically, had convinced young T’vin to apply to Starfleet Academy, before she had yet returned to Earth. She passed her entrance exam with flying colors but had difficulty deciding on a major. To her friends she was known for having an interest in "any non-medical field". (T'vin suffers from a rare condition which makes her prone to nausea and fainting at the sight of red blood) She began working toward a major in Engineering and (somewhat abstractly) a minor in neuropathic psychology. At that time she learned the truth about her birth parent’s deaths. She took some time off of the academy to improve her emotional control. When she returned on star date 0503.29 she entered the science program with a minors in xeno-biology and history of human diplomacy.

Recently, she graduated from the academy, passing the Kobayashi Maru on the first time. Almost immediately she was assigned to serve on the U.S.S. Arcadia NCC-1742-E as assistant science officer. She was scheduled to report onboard 0504.20. Then in a warp-core breach the ship exploded on 0505.04 in orbit of Risa.

Personality:

Quiet, reserved and respectful, she is often mistaken as passive or shy. Friends know her as passionate about everything, though her control hardly allows it to show. She is quite intelligent with an inquiring mind and has high hopes for her future with Starfleet. She enjoys writing and reading literature, especially poetry.

Interests: Study of the Kir'shara (writings of Surak), poetry, music, and cultural/linguistic exchanges

Favorites:Tranya and oatmeal, musical compositions of Dalvok, and tricorders
