Ensign Brian Smith's Log

"Records"

 

As Brian Smith walked down the corridors with the away team, he was doing something he never thought he would have to do. He was recording the locations of all the dead bodies, as ordered by Commander Ridire.

 

He knew this would be important to the families of the crew, to know where their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, cousins, and so on, were when they lost their lives.He also knew it would be important for the investigators to know where the major crew members like the Captain or the Chief Engineer, or even the Chief Medical Officer were when the "shockwave" was produced.

 

As he walked down the hall, he was still mezmarized by the fact that earlier in the day, what had seemed to be a faint humanoid lifesign, had been the lifesigns of a fish, smaller than the removable piece of his medical tricorder. Was the fact that it was an Angel Fish an omen? Could it be a hint? Angels could be seen as a sign of hope. Hope that there might be something good coming out of this tragedy.

 

As he set the tricorder to record while put away in its holster, he thought about what was in the near future for his team...
