Technical Specifications

Technical Specifications- USS Agincourt

Medical Facilities

Sickbay is an essential part of the vessel, which must be on the most protected and contained area of the vessel. In a battle, Sickbay personnel would be available to all crewmembers in the secondary hull. The bulk of the USS Agincourt crew will always be located aboard the secondary hull section of the vessel.

Main Sickbay itself contains twenty stationary biobeds, with another mobile units, which remain in storage unless needed. In extreme circumstances, up to 100 people may be placed throughout the vessel, through various other medical labs located throughout the three hulls.

Secondary medical stations are located throughout the vessel, including the primary and tertiary hulls, to be used during emergency and battle situations.

Secondary/Battle Bridges

There is one secondary bridge and one battle bridge located aboard the USS Agincourt. The secondary bridge is offline at all times, unless the Command staff deems it necessary to move normal ship operations to the secondary bridge. The battle bridge is offline at all times, except in emergency or battle situations. All bridges are online to run each different hull during MV mode.

Background

At the close of the Dominion War, Star Fleet began to rethink their starship design, focusing more on power and strength rather than quickness, ability and diplomatic ability. The result was an experimental Prometheus class. Prometheus class vessels incorporated many of the features of its contemporaries, most notably, the Sovereign, Defiant and Intrepid classes that contributed ablative armor, quantum torpedoes, advanced hull geometry and warp field technology.

The USS Agincourt is the result of the Prometheus project, which was extended shortly after the trial run of the USS Prometheus. Ninth in production, Star Fleet has committed to producing one of these vessels every two years for forty years. The USS Agincourt is almost an exact replica of the USS Prometheus except for minor changes fueled by continuing advancements in starship technologies.

Features

The most notable feature about the USS Agincourt is its Multi-Vector (MV) attack mode. The Agincourt can separate in-flight into three parts, with all three parts containing the same defensive capabilities and the same maximized offensive capabilities as it is when in docked mode. Furthermore, the Agincourt can return to docked mode in-flight. The secondary and tertiary hulls are both commanded from a battle bridge and all three sections have impulse and warp capabilities.

The MV mode gives an unprecedented advantage to the Agincourt. One section can be used to draw the fire of an opposing vessel while the other two can retaliate using complex attack patterns. Furthermore, the MV mode also allows for an avenue of deception or even escape should exigent circumstances require such a tactic. The possibilities are endless.

The USS Agincourt has an advanced EMH program that can travel virtually anywhere on the ship due holo-emitters being present on all decks. These emitters, however, are normally disabled unless the EMH is activated.

Finally, the USS Agincourt contains a crew of Star Fleet commissioned officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Star Fleet Marine Corps (SFMC). Beginning in 2385, a SFMC battalion was placed on every existing Star Fleet battleship as well as any new battleship produced from 2385 forward. This move is a reflection of Star Fleet’s commitment to deterrence as its military philosophy.
