Lower Left Leg- After a impalement, the same incident that caused the scars on his shoulder and rib area, Jamie's leg was leg badly damaged. The physical recovery process was long and painful, and most of the muscle in his leg are artificially replaced. A number of neuro fibers are also placed in areas of his leg to act buffers for the damaged nerves. About 20% of his leg is comprised of pure mechanical parts, while the rest is either Artificial bio metrics, or naturally replaced flesh and muscle. The entire ordeal left his leg with about 85% of it's original usablity. Nerve blockers were placed in his other leg to compensate, so that one would not move faster to then the other, further impeading him.

 

 

HISTORY

 

The son of disgraced Starfleet Officer and fugitive Travis Kroells, James was adopted and raised by Harold and Emma Hauser on Earth. To them, James was a God send, and they raised him like he was their own. James learned at a young age that he was adopted, and accepted it with little trouble. For Travis, giving up his son wasn't much of a choice. On run from the law on suspicion of being involved with the Orion Syndicate, and other notorious crimes, Travis didn't dare try to raise his son. Instead he entrusted James with the Hauser's, in an attempt to give his son a better life. After receiving a new identity, and temporarily settling on the Starbase Camelot in the Gamma Quadrant, Travis was found out and forced to flee. This time, to go where no human forces could follow him, he flew into the heart of Romulan space, and into a civil war.

 

Due to the good grace that he gained with the Romulans during the war, and because he ended up on the winning side, Travis was appointed as one of the Romulan ambassadors to Earth, and would later handle a lot of the Romulan’s agreements in the Treaty of Versailles.

 

Travis sought to have a proper relationship with his son, but while his work kept him on Earth for a good amount of time, he would often be called home to Romulus for some reason or another. For this reason, the elderly couple that raised Jamie continued to do so, although they let Travis see him whenever possible, not wanting to interfere in the two’s budding relationship.

 

By the time Jamie was 17, the couple that was elderly when the adopted him, had aged quite considerably in the time that Jamie was alive, and they both passed away within six months of each other. However, due to Jamie’s grades in school, and a little string pulling by Travis, he was accepted into Starfleet Academy at San Francisco.

 

After graduating from the academy, he spent a year on the cadet training ship, USS Valdez, earning some of the highest marks possible while on the ship. Near the end of his tour with the Valdez, he was assigned as the newly commissioned USS Agincourt’s Chief Science Officer, and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade.

 

Jamie is considered an assist to any ship he serves on because of his flexibility. While he specializes in Science, Jamie has been certified in basic elements of engineering, medical, and security, allowing him to easily function with other departments.

SERVICE HISTORY

 

Immediately following the launch of the Agincourt, the ship was diverted to Pax Primus, where a group of Reman terrorists had taken over the taken over the communication array, a vital instrument to both the Federation, and the Romulan Star Empire. The Agincourt’s marine battalion quelled the insurgency, and Jamie led a team of scientists and engineers in an attempt to reclaim lost data from the facility.

 

Soon after the incident on the facility, Jamie was injured in the line of duty, and was given a leave of Absence on Starbase 234. More information on this can be found in his medical information.

 

At the time of Jamie’s return to the Agincourt, the ship had been given orders to make first contact with a species known as the Pacetrina. During this time, an away team including Jamie was allowed onto the station to make critical repairs to degrading systems. During this time, the away team was accused of murder when Jamie attacked a man. The group was later pardoned and released, when it was discovered that it was not the attack, but the surge of emotion that killed the man. Jamie’s out burst was attributed to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder caused by his injury. Following the incident on the station, the Pacetrinans cut off all communication to the Federation.

 

The Agincourt was then recalled to Earth for shore leave, and to be invited to a ball at the Versailles Diplomatic Center, where the two-year anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles was to take place. Jamie got some much needed R&R, and later reunited with his father at the ball. During the treaty anniversary ceremony, in which the leaders of all three powers in the treaty were present, a terrorist attack took place. Jamie among the many severely injured in the attack, including severe damage to his left leg. Against the recommendations of the then CMO Tethra Shoney, he opted not to have the leg amputated.

 

After the bombing of the VDC, the Agincourt was ordered to apprehend the Vacitu a Romulan ship in orbit of Earth during the attack, suspected of being involved. The ship was eventually captured, and was discovered to be the ship that bombed the VDC. Jamie and Colonel Harper later interrogated the ship’s leader, a Romulan by the name of Taellel. The interrogation achieved little, and Taellel was transferred to the USS Independence to wait a trial.

 

The Agincourt was soon ordered to the Arkanis sector, and ordered to go undercover into an illegal arm smuggling ring in an attempt to capture those in charge. Jamie was among an away team sent to “distract” the smuggling group, while a second team snuck further into the hierarchy of the smuggling ring. During the “distraction” Jamie and Dr. Desdemona Levy were separated from the away team as Jamie’s cover was blown. The two had to shoot their way to a cargo bay, in the process Jamie killed three men. No charges were ever brought against him.

 

The Agincourt would soon divert to another planet in the Arkanis system, named Alamis during their investigation. Jamie was put in charge of an away team investigating a downed Pandarian freighter, previously encountered by the Agincourt. While on the ground, Jamie’s team came under attack by the previously mentioned second team. Not knowing who was shooting at them, a friendly firefight broke out. The Agincourt was unable to intervene, as they came under attack by a Romulan controlled Breen ship. The ship beamed down its own party to the surface, and two former rival teams banded together to deal with the threat.

 

The outcome of the Arkanis mission is sketchy at best. Most of the crew involved suffered mentally at decisions or actions took during the mission. The freighter, which was later recovered by the Agincourt, was transferred off at Starbase 621, where the crew had some scheduled shore leave. Along with the freighter went Major Korix Vaos, a marine whom “Many of the crew wanted to throw out an airlock”, and whom Jaime had have a last minute reconciliation with over the incident on Alamis.

 

Following shore leave on Starbase 621, the Agincourt has spent the last three weeks on routine missions, giving Jamie, and many others a chance to mentally and physically recuperate from the events of late.

 

However, for the Agincourt, such reprieves are temporary at best. Three weeks after the incident in the Arkanis system the Agincourt was ordered to Communications Relay 143 to repair it. However, along the way the ship was rocked by an explosion that knocked out all sensors. Once the science department returned the sensors, it was discovered that both a cloaked Romulan and a Klingon ship had colided near the Agincourt. The crew quickly began to beam survivors aboard, and attempt to discover what had happened.

 

However, it was quickly discovered that the "accident" was planned, as the Klingon and Romulan survivors quickly took over Main Engineering and held the entire ship hostage, threating to breach the warp core if the Agincourt didn't bow to their demands. The Agincourt is forced to travel to a nearby Romulan outpost, and are ordered to destroy it. During this time, a Team consisting of Jamie, Chief Engineer Javin Prell, and Jamie's assistant Ember Prospera made their way to the battle bridge just a stones throw away from Main Engineering. It was believed that these terrorists had an agenda, and that if they couldn't control the entire ship they would attempt to go into MVAM mode and steal the secondary hull. As Jamie and his team sucessfully sabotaged the ships systems to prevent this, it was discovered that five other ships besides the Agincourt were also hijacked. In the end, this gave the terrorists more power, for the simple fact that if they failed there were five other ships to carry out their plans. They had nothing to lose.

 

While Jamie, Javin and Ember sat in the relative security of the battle bridge, it was finally decided that it was nessicary to pacify the terrorists, despite the risk to the ship. A joint security and marine team managed to quell the uprising with little injury. While the event was short, much happened. Jamie often questioned his own ability to perform his duties during this time, due to the fact that his girlfriend, assistant engineer Kairi Kassem was also a hostage in Main Engineering. He was often forced to put the ship over her personal safety, a thought which greatly troubled him.

 

Soon after the hijacking, a departmental reorginzation took place in the Agincourt. Jamie was promoted to joint Operations Manager/Chief of Sciences in the abscence of Tethra Shoney. However, as Jamie began work on combining these two departments, difficulties came from two fronts. A rebelious assistant, and another mission gone astray.
