Through the looking glass...

Saek strolled through the corridors of the d'Deridex class vessel..his mind racing. "What just happened? Was I dreaming?" thought the young officer. Yet, a quick glance down at the ceremonial kaleh at his side proved he was na dreaming. He removed the blade from its sheath and pricked the tip of his right thumb..even with some diminished sensation from the treatment..it hurt.. "Na dreaming, at all" he said to himself rounding the corner as another Arrain from Engineering exited the lift. The Rihan eyed Vosh cautiously....causing Saek to chuckle...."Do na worry..the Khre riov did na send me..and this is na meant for au." The officer frowned and halfheartedly returned Saeks pseudo-salute.

 

Saek continued on his way back to t'Kitana's quarters. But the entire situation with NDak boggled the mind. "Perhaps I should report this to tr'psichore.." thought Vosh. He had promised na to mention the conversation to anyio..and he was a Rihan of his word..but what if Ma Lyn was na well..mentally...."Pfftt....if hes crazy hes crazy like a tr'fox...." As hard as it was to swallow, he believed NDak was genuine in his statements. And even more shocking...if he was correct...he would just be the first io to experience this new side of NDak..and after he had made ammends with everyio on the ship he had wronged..and there were SO many...there would be na hiding the fact. So Vosh decided.."I'll note it in my personal log only...let the rest of the ship find out in their own time..."

 

Finally he stood in t'Kitanas doorway. As he entered, he saw she had put away dinner and changed her attire...."What if I was na finished eating..." asked Saek sarcastically. She met his sarcasm with an equal dose of her own..."well, I THOUGHT au might be more interested in dessert....but if au'd rather go to the messhall..." the last line trailing off as she left the room. Vosh knew it was a power play just to make him follow..but a Rihan had to know which battles to fight...and this was io he was prepared to lose. "So shall I show au my kaleh" said Vosh as he followed t'Kitana into the other room..."Au will NEVER believe where it came from...."
